Kura is hands down my favorite sushi place in Columbus. Between the quality of the food, the spectacular service, the fun of getting to watch the belt go around, and the extremely fair prices I couldn’t be happier.
I go essentially every other week, whether it’s to dine in or take it to go. I live about 20 minutes away but it’s so worth the drive. My favorite dishes are the spicy crunchy taco, the crispy rice with spicy salmon, and the golden crunchy roll. My partner loves the salmon nigiri, the salmon toro nigiri, and the spicy tuna crispy rice.
Their monthly discoveries are amazing. The Kumamoto wagyu, the tuna nigiri flight, the king salmon, every month we get some new exciting flavors to try. Sometimes they miss, and that’s okay! The menu is so extensive there’s something for everyone.
The bikkura pon prizes are super cute and you get them just for eating enough plates. They’re constantly doing collaborations where you can win shirts, towels, cups, and other swag. The wasabi is real wasabi, not the dyed horseradish you’d get in a lot of places, and the soy sauce is so good I’d buy a bottle of it if I could. The dishes on the belt are all 3.80 and it’s easy to order food from the tablet if you can’t find what you want on the belt.
Beyond the food being absolutely incredible the thing that keeps bringing me back is the service. Everyone is always checking in and making sure our experience is going smoothly, they are happy to explain how the belt process works for newbies, and they are always so kind. Ceci in particular is just an awesome person and server, she definitely keeps us coming back!

I love this place! The atmosphere is so fun and unique, the restaurant seems clean, and they give you a little prize after 15 plates. The only complaint is sometimes when it’s really busy, if you sit near the back of the line there isn’t a lot of sushi coming around on the belt. You can custom order things though so it’s not an issue.

I’ve been to Kura a couple times but this is my first time to this location. I’m a big fan of revolving sushi and like the idea of being able to pull an item off the belt as it comes by.
In my previous experience at Kura locations this has been possible as they were filling the belt with items. On this visit it was almost completely empty…. While you can still put in orders to be sent directly to you this was a little disappointing. I was surprised by this given it was 5pm on a Monday.
As for the sushi, the quality of the fish was good. There is a wide variety to order from and almost everything I had I would order again. The one minor downside was the sushi rice. It wasn’t the stickiest and fell apart on occasion. I’ve read a few other reviews where this has been the case. Minor inconvenience but could be fixed fairly easily.
Overall, I enjoyed my trip to Kura and would go again. However, I feel there is a few things that they could fix to improve the experience.

Love going here! Very reasonable price and you get to try multiple rolls instead of committing to just choosing one. The conveyor belt is neat, but even if you go at times when there’s not much on the belt, you can order whatever you want for the same price and they make it for you. Even when busy, we always get seated instantly. Always a great experience

I absolutely LOVE this place! I always leave stuffed and completely satisfied! It’s so fun to pick your dishes from the conveyor belt and to order dishes and have them delivered via another conveyor belt. And the cute little robot that delivers your drinks?! It just puts the experience over the top. Be prepared to spend some money though! Plates start at 3.80 and can go up to $10. I easily spent 40 bucks plus tip. One of my favorite sushi places! It also helps Paris Baguette is right next door! Definitely worth the visit!

This place is so fun! We have been wanting to try a revolving sushi restaurant and this was our first time. The food was delicious and tasted very fresh. Our server, Anthony, was super attentive, quick with refills and answered all of our questions as newbies. We had a really fun time and will definitely be back soon!

My friend and I had a wonderful experience! Our server, Dominic, made our night so sweet. He went above and beyond. His welcoming and fun spirit had us walking outside of the restaurant with a smile 🙂 Great food, a wonderful staff, and nice atmosphere. Would recommend!!!

We were immediately seated and the staff was friendly, but the first plate of food we grabbed had 2 hairs on 2 of the 3 sushi rolls. They did not charge us for that plate, but after that we inspected every roll before eating it. It took a while for the robot to bring us our drinks, which the tablet above the table said were already delivered when they were not. In hindsight, we should have left after we pulled that first plate off. For two people, we both ate 3 plates each before we both started feeling nauseous. That was about 6-8 sushi each person and cost less than $25. The bill was paid and we left. But even hours later, both of us are still nauseous. We’re both deeply regretting staying after that first plate was pulled off. It should’ve been the sign that we needed to leave ASAP.
