I’ve been to this place countless times, it’s my go-to spot for a quick lunch or a casual hangout with friends. The whole experience can take as little as 10 minutes from start to finish: you get seated, grab your dishes straight from the revolving belt, return your plates through the slot, and check out, all fully automated! They also have a great rewards program. My favorites are the conch and the bluefin tuna toro, but they’re not always available.

My so and I tried the revolving sushi spot on Chestnut Street in Philadelphia, and it was definitely a fun experience. The concept is simple but entertaining—sushi plates come around on a conveyor belt, and you just grab what you like. Drinks are served by a robot, which adds a cool, futuristic touch.

Each plate is $3.75, and there’s a reward system where you get a prize at 15 plates and another at 25. It makes dining feel playful, though it also makes you more aware of how much you’ve eaten. We ended up with 28 plates plus a chicken ramen, which was surprisingly good, and the total came to around $125 for two people.

The sushi itself was fine—not the best in the city, but good enough for the experience. Overall, it’s more about the novelty and fun atmosphere than gourmet quality. For me, it’s a one-time try, but if you like interactive dining, it’s worth checking out at least once.

It had been a while since we visited a revolving sushi restaurant, and the concept here is quite interesting. You can either order from a tablet or scan a QR code at your table, or you can grab items directly from the conveyor belt as they pass by. While we didn’t take anything from the revolving belt, it was great to see what the different dishes looked like. Our orders were delivered directly to our table via an upper conveyer system, and drinks were brought out by a robot! If we needed anything else, we could request a human staff member through the app.

The food was good, and they have some unique preparations and specials. We went for lunch, so the fact that they don’t serve alcohol was fine, but we probably wouldn’t go for dinner for that reason. The restaurant is definitely family-friendly and a huge hit with kids.

A little pricey but overall a fun experience and great staff. I expected it to be a little pricey considering sushi is overall not cheap. It was so fun to have a robot bring me out my drink, I was so excited.

I enjoyed my time here at Kura Sushi. I was actually surprised to see one here in Philly. I had to come and try it out. The service was good and the food was fresh. I loved the different kinds of sushi they have available just rotating around. This did bring me back to when I was in Japan (懐かしい). I will definitely come back again and encourage all the sushi lovers to come along. They also have ramen as well among other things to try. この場所はすばらしい。

We visited Kura Revolving Sushi Bar on a Friday during dinner time, and it was definitely busy, but the wait line moved surprisingly fast. The restaurant was clean and had a very interesting setup. It took us a few minutes to figure out how the food belt system worked, but once we got the hang of it, it was fun and unique! We tried sushi and some sushi wraps – the food was fresh and tasty, though the portions were small for the price. Overall, it’s a cool experience, but it can be a bit pricey. Worth a visit for the novelty!

Went here with a work buddy and had a great time! The sushi was fresh, flavorful, and there was an impressive variety to choose from. Even the cheesecake and butter pie were delicious — a sweet surprise at a sushi spot. Highly recommend for both quality food and a fun atmosphere!

Disappointing compared to the one in Little Tokyo. Both variety and quality were markedly different. Somewhat the same set up, check in on the kiosk, but the hostess was seating 1-2 people whenever. The conveyor zigzags the seating area, with the regular sushi on rotation and the upper belt for special orders. Once I sat down and ordered my drink I watched the belt to see what was available. I could tell immediately that it wasn’t going to have the same selection as out West, and was limited to fairly basic rolls. I was also stuck down wind from another group who liked the same rolls as me and pods were always empty when they rolled past. Between special ordering and waiting it out, I did get my fill of mackeral. I never did get that salmon skin though. I was hoping to try some new things, but everything on regular rotation was familiar. Quality was meh, I didn’t feel cheated but again LA’s was better. Their kitchen seems smaller, and they were struggling a little to keep up with demand. My order took so long I almost forgot about it.

Kura Revolving Sushi Bar offers a fun and interactive dining experience that’s perfect for sushi lovers and anyone who enjoys trying a variety of dishes. The setup is unique—plates of sushi and appetizers continuously pass by on a conveyor belt, giving you the freedom to grab whatever catches your eye. The atmosphere is modern and inviting, with cozy booths, bright lighting, and an efficient ordering system through the tablet at each table.

The sushi itself is fresh and well-presented. The variety is impressive, from classic nigiri and sashimi to creative specialty rolls and side dishes like crispy fries and garlic ponzu sashimi. The salmon roe sushi was brimming with flavor, and the crispy tempura-style roll had a satisfying crunch. Prices are per plate, making it easy to try many different options without committing to large portions. We ended up enjoying 30 plates of sushi along with drinks and sides, which brought our total to $147.85 for the table, including tax.

One of the highlights is the “Bikkura Pon” system, where every five plates you deposit earn you a shot at a capsule toy prize, adding a playful twist to the meal. Service is quick, and food ordered via tablet arrives swiftly on a separate express conveyor. Overall, Kura is an excellent choice for a casual meal that’s both tasty and entertaining, especially if you’re dining with friends or family.

Table was not wiped, did not feel clean. The plate protectors had finger prints and sauce spills (photos) Edamame did not taste right. Just gross.
