It’s all about the fun experience, cute, cool & modern concept with good system.
Overall foods was low quality to me, some was just okay and other was not bad.
Sushi pieces were cut super thin [I get it, it’s cheap. You get what you paid for]. But man…it’s super thin, even all you can eat sushi spot have a better cut than this.
The sushi rice quality was amazingly good, perfectly cooked, good job on that
Salmon sushi with miso cream cheese was good flavor
5 stars for the mochi with mungbean powder dessert [my favorite]
Ramen was okay but still have a bit of umami taste.
The tempura/ all the fried dish was bad, the crunchiness texture was hard crispy.
The hot dog crispy rice was really..really.. BAD [I can’t even finish it] bad menu creation
The service was great
If you never try this type of sushi experience, you should give a shot and just experience the cool and cuteness about this place.
Probably, for 1st timer sushi this place is good to experience new things.

I went with my kids, they love the dinning experience. The sushi are mostly fresh and good. We also tried their ramen and udon. The udon is good, the ramen is overload with msg and salt. Overall we enjoyed it.

Been here many times. Just getting to do my review now
Usually come before a movie because it’s around the corner from AMC and it’s quick. Everytime you get seated the staff welcomes you in Japanese.
Just grab what you like from the conveyor belt or order from the touchscreen or app.
We’ve tried almost every item they offer. And try to grab the seasonal speciality items. Some are interesting and never had before in any sushi restaurants.
We had hesitated on ordering ramen, but on a cold day we tried Tonkatsu Ramen and it was not bad. The broth is definitely the standard out, it had umami.
Special shout out to Ana for being friendly and helpful and have a big smile everytime we see her.

We are familiar with Kura. Good thing is most of plates have same prices except udons and other specials to order.
This location has plenty of parking thanks to Garden state plaza parking facilities.
I wish they have higher quality sushi even with higher price.

The manger Moe greeted us and was super friendly and easy to talk to plus he seemed like he truly cared about his employees. Our attendant Maria was so sweet and super helpful when we had any questions. We loved the collab not only for the merch but for the rolls and got 3 of the pompompurin tamago rolls. Highly recommend.

Kura Sushi is still one of my favorite spots for fresh sushi and fun dining. The service is always friendly and efficient, and the food still tastes great. That said, the prices have definitely gone up recently—likely due to tariffs—and the fish slices on the nigiri have gotten noticeably thinner. I get that these changes are probably out of their control, but it does make the overall value a bit lower than before.
Still, it’s a solid experience and worth visiting if you’re craving sushi with a fun atmosphere.

Fun interactive dinner experience. I’ve been to the Edison, NJ location as well. I found the Paramus location a little confusing. FYI It’s in the Garden State Plaza mall, 2nd floor across from California Pizza Kitchen. Be sure to make reservations because it can get busy at times. We had fun picking a variety of foods from the conveyor belt and ordering so options as well. I enjoyed the tempura tamago (special) and vegetable hand roll. My husband enjoyed a variety of spicy tuna sushi and gyoza. Overall I’d definitely recommend for an interactive fun date night.

This sushi place is the best I’ve ever been to! After dining here, I can’t go anywhere else for sushi because they have the freshest sushi. Their menu is diverse and the concept is fun. The interior is spotless, and the staff is friendly. Carol, in particular, was very sweet and helpful. They even have a small robot to serve your drinks! Don’t forget to order their delectable authentic Asian desserts!

Everything was absolutely delicious! The soup was warm and comforting, and the sashimi was incredibly fresh and flavorful. One of the highlights of the night was the robot bringing out the drinks such a fun and unique touch that made the experience even better.
The service from Dayana was amazing. She was very attentive, kind, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. Overall, a fantastic dining experience. Highly recommend!
