If you’re looking for Japanese food in Colorado Springs, I highly recommend ‘Kura Japanese Restaurant’. I ordered the Bento Box, the poke bowl, Sushi etc.. and everything was fresh and delicious. The staff were very friendly, and it’s a restaurant I would definitely love to visit again.

Service was very nice, hostess to sit us and take our orders was really nice , the hibachi cook was also very nice; the only two things that I would advise on : a little less oil and soy sauce as well and food for kids should be prepared first not last . Not the fault of a restaurant but for people that come for hibachi experience please mind other people; you don’t have to be so loud that others can’t talk or even hear each other – the loudest you are the more stupid you look – just an observation. An experience overall would have been great if it wasn’t for the loudest person sitting next to us ! Common sense goes a long way, you are not the only one there and not everyone wants to hear your stories ! I realize it’s a public place but everyone should be taught proper manners at the restaurant!

Absolutely amazing experience! The food was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly right in front of us. Chef Frankie made us feel like family and was entertaining, skilled, and made the whole meal fun from start to finish. Every dish, from the appetizers, to the steak and shrimp to the vegetables, were delicious and well-seasoned. Our reservation was pushed back due to other guests being late to their reservation. Instead of canceling our reservation, the staff stayed past closing to make sure we could still enjoy our daddy/daughter date night. They were incredibly apologetic and brought us multiple plates of appetizers on the house. This is hands down one of the best Japanese hibachi restaurants I’ve been to and definitely the best customer service I have had in a long time. Highly recommend and I will definitely be coming back!

My family and I have been coming here for nearly two decades, and it’s still our favorite spot for sushi and hibachi in Colorado Springs. The quality and flavor are unmatched—this is the best sushi in town, and the hibachi is always a fun and memorable experience.

The hospitality here is just as impressive as the food. The owners and staff consistently create a warm, welcoming atmosphere and go above and beyond to make guests feel taken care of.

We love supporting local businesses that put so much heart into what they do, and this team delivers every time. Their sister restaurant, Pike’s Poke Bowl, is also one of our go-to spots for fresh, flavorful bowls.

Highly recommend giving them a try—and if you go, the Volcano Roll, Kiss of Fire Roll, Bronco Roll, and Spicy Crunchy Tuna Roll are all personal favorites (pictured above, including other staple rolls not mentioned!). You won’t be disappointed.

I came in for a very early dinner after leaving work before heading back to the hotel on this work trip. I do t even think it was 5:00 yet, but I wanted to stay in after I got back to the hotel. I was the only customer in the restaurant, but they still offered both sushi and hibachi. Justice’s n was a fantastic hibachi chef, and was very personable and entertaining.the food was great.

This place is ridiculous, stared at my food on the grill for an hour and a 1/2. As the chef got drunk continuing to beg for shots from the people he was cooking for completely unprofessional. I spent a $100 and I’m leaving completely unhappy. Absolutely, do not recommend What is my name?Ryan kept saying it over and over again

My favorite sushi place. There are a few good ones in the city, but I rank Kura at the top. If ordering online, provide any tips in cash. Don’t send it through the service for ordering. That service is much better than junk like door dash, but they don’t actually guarantee that your money will reach the worker.

Food is great. Menu has plenty of options. Prices are comparable to other sushi locations. Environment is great. Bathrooms are clean. Staff is friendly.

I rank them number 1 because I think their food tastes a tiny bit better than the other competitors.

I would highly not recommend this sushi restaurant. We waited over an hour and 20 minutes for our food. When we politely asked how much longer it would be, the manager never came by to explain or acknowledge the delay, even though we knew she had been informed.

Our waitress was kind and apologized for the wait, even bringing us edamame, which we appreciated. However, no one checked on our table or refilled our waters the entire time until right before the food arrived.

When we finally received our sushi, it was very disappointing – the texture was mushy, the flavor was bland, and something tasted off. Later that evening, I became very sick and vomited multiple times after eating the sushi. I eat sushi often and have never had this happen before.

The only positive part of this experience was our waitress, who was sweet when she was able to come by. Unfortunately, due to the long wait, lack of communication, and poor food quality, I would not return.

The food was good. But when they turned on the exhaust fan,it was so loud we couldn’t hear the chef. Barely could hear ourselves talk. I left with a migraine. The waitress never came back,we wanted more cocktails. I had to get our own boxes. Just not a very good experience.

The food is really good. Nice and fresh. My complaint Is They really need to step up on their online ordering system. I work in the same plaza so three separate occasions I’ve ordered online with 45 minutes to an hour in advance. Every time I arrive, they don’t even have my order. I end up having to wait and then I miss my lunchtime and I have to eat the food later.
