Today August 2,2025 was the first time that my family and I ate here for dinner. I just have say that it was great!!! I have ordered online through door dash before but all I can eating in the restaurant was 10 times better. The waitress were very kind and friendly. They all have great customer service and we will most definitely be back but this time with more family members☺️. The food was delicious, hot and fresh. I was craving Chinese food after dialysis today and I looked up google reviews. This restaurant had the best reviews out of everyone. Thank you Kunia Chinese Restaurant for your great service, atmosphere and delicious food .

One of my favorite spots! I always get the house best wonton soup, so authentic and flavorful. The staff really care when you pick up your order, highly recommend Kunia Chinese Food!

It’s a kinda run down in the way you expect a Hawaii Chinese restaurant should look.
What really shines here is the food.
Pretty much everything I’ve ever eaten there in my MANY visits and take out nights stops to this establishment have been delicious.

House Fried Rice is a must.
Chinese Sizzling Beef Platter is divine.

Just ate here with my nieces and had a really disappointing experience.
We were the first ones seated, and at the time there were only two tables occupied.

Shortly after, the restaurant filled up, which I understand can make things busy. However, our food came out one dish at a time, about 20 minutes apart. It was frustrating watching other larger parties get their meals while we were still waiting.

The beef and broccoli was poorly prepared — the broccoli wasn’t properly chopped and came out in huge pieces, some as big as three of my fingers. The roast pork was burnt, and we never received our white buns.

When we decided to cancel the white buns because we had already finished eating, the older server was extremely rude. She told us to “just take them home for leftovers” and said they were busy. That response felt dismissive and unprofessional.

Overall, the service was unacceptable. I expect meals to come out together and basic courtesy from staff. Very disappointing experience.

Ordered an orange chicken plate and the portion’s too small for $17. Overpriced when it’s not that good. Usually get general tso’s chicken plate and it was bigger so idk why it’s like that now

The Food Flavor Was Lacking, Nothing Like Advertised. We Both Left Disappointed With Our Food Flavor. Decided Not Going Back. Dishes Were Simply Unprofessional, Like Eating At Home Leftovers Kine. Perhaps The Chef Was Off That Day. But A No Go Again Kine For Me. Aloha

Went to Kunia Chinese restaurant. Ordered the Roast Pork and Honey walnut shrimp. Large portions and tasty dishes. Great value for the money. Also ordered rice and a Pepsi. Definitely a great place to eat in West Oahu. Full service Chinese restaurant very crowded. Very busy. Clean place to eat. Open for over 20 years. A must eat in Kunia.

Asked for more tip on top of the tip they always charge for a party of 5+ & they just hound you for tip. Decide to just order out from now on just to wait almost an hour after pick up time. They charged me for hot mustard to go. They got to be kidding me $8 for 2 of the 4oz. And there portion is super small when ordering it to go

Very accommodating and helpful staff. The food was really good, especially the salt and pepper wings and their spicy pork eggplant. Try to avoid ordering take out if possible. The portions are bigger when dining there.

Absolutely the best service I’ve ever had at a restaurant! My husband and I came for a late dinner tonight and the Hostess Andrea seated us immediately and was so friendly and genuine. We ordered the soft Gau Gee Mein, Mongolian Beef, Mushroom Chicken, and sides of steamed rice. Everything came out quickly and steaming with deliciousness. We ate until we were full and there were still extras to take home for leftovers which is my favorite part! All the servers asked how we were throughout the meal and provided exceptional customer service. This is now my favorite go-to Chinese food spot. The restaurant and bathroom (with a hilarious sign hanging in there) were clean and inviting. I absolutely enjoyed my experience here, Happy Holidays!
