great food, great place. it’s what you should expect from a family run chinese place. the server was very friendly and very attentive as he could be running between every table. the food came out amazingly!! and when we had an issue with our kid he brought by a little drum toy to help cheer him up :). And I love the lego sets scattered around, very unexpected but neat to see

This restaurant has been my favorite, go to for dumplings and most importantly – duck buns. We were disappointed to learn today that the duck buns recipe has been changed. It’s gone from a delicious duck stew-like filling to a ground, dry filling with an overwhelming taste of scallion. Unless we hear that our favorite item has gone back to the original recipe, we won’t be making the trek back. Very unfortunate.

Had soup dumplings, chicken dumplings, cabbage, cucumber salad, and braised pork belly. It was all delicious, and the ambience was a celebration of Chinese culture but not overdone. The background video of some Yunnan cooking show was very cute. Our server was super friendly and made us feel at home. We loved it.

Can’t get enough of their steamed chicken dumplings! Look at the consistency! These were taking on different days and times over the last couple of months. The cucumber salad is great too! Highly recommend, especially if you’re looking for a more laid back environment

The bun is good, there are some dishes that are hard to find but average level flavor. Not a lot people

The food here is light and fresh … very tasty without the usual sugar-sauce heavy approach that you find in many such places. Yuxiang Chicken was a particular treat.

Parking lot available. They seemed a little short staffed. It took some time for us to get some water and for us to put our order in. We ordered the Cubed Cucumber Salad, Crab & Pork Soup Dumpling, Scallion Pancake with Beef, Braised Pork Belly in Clay Pot and Crispy Sweet and Sour Pork. I also ordered a side of white rice since it doesn’t come with entrees. I believe it’s an extra $1.50. It was strange, however, that they immediately brought out my bowl of white rice by itself so it sat there until my dinner came. The Cucumber Salad was good and definitely spicy. It’s great that they do have vegan items on their menu. The Scallion Pancake with Beef had good flavor but it doesn’t generally come with any dipping sauce which can make it a tad dry. There’s sauce in there as it’s wrapped up with the Beef. The Soup Dumplings were delicious but I had to ask for a soup spoon and generally what comes with Soup dumplings are vinegar and chili oil. The Braised Pork Belly in Clay Pot was the best tasting and was delicious but I was a little disappointed it didn’t come out in a small Clay Pot as expected. The crispy sweet and sour pork was crispy but didn’t have much flavor and the pork had a strange consistency. Service was alright, a little slow but it seemed like the restaurant had just opened and things were getting figured out.

Kungfu Kitchen in Alexandria is absolutely phenomenal! The food is bursting with flavor, and every bite feels like a culinary masterpiece. The dishes are crafted with such attention to detail, and the presentation is top-notch. The black dumplings were not only unique but incredibly delicious, with a perfect balance of texture and filling. The stir-fried pork dish was packed with fresh ingredients, bold spices, and the perfect amount of heat.
The service was excellent, and the ambiance of the restaurant added to the experience. It’s rare to find a place where every single aspect, from taste to atmosphere, exceeds expectations, but Kungfu Kitchen manages to do it effortlessly. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for authentic, high-quality Asian cuisine. I’ll definitely be coming back for more!

This place is turning out to be a family favorite. The food is consistently good and our server always looks to take care of us. There plenty of free parking so going here is no trouble at all. The setting is very casual. We continue trying new dishes but definitely have some favorites that are hard not to order because they are so good. Some favorites are the fried string beans and chongqing chicken. We recently tried the Dan Dan noodles, which were very good (but I think I make better). I loved the noodles themselves and there was a perfect amount of meat and sauce. My family really loves the mayo tofu.
Always consistently delicious food. In a strip mall, there’s plenty of free parking available. It can get busy here but getting seated immediately should not be a problem. Because it gets busy you sometimes have to flag down your server. The atmosphere is nice, casual, and sort of unique. This place has a fusion feel to the food, with everything consistently delicious. This last trip we had our favorite, the chongqing spicy chicken (order this every time), Chinese lettuce, potato green pepper and eggplant, country style pork, and scallion pancakes. Mmmmm.
This place has consistently great food. For starters, you will easily find free parking in the lot right outside the restaurant. There’s adequate seating and a very cool environment but be aware it can get busy. The food has fantastic flavors with a hint of fusion, and the perfect amount of spices and seasonings. Along with the chongqing spicy chicken (one of our favorites), we tried the fried string beans, pan fried pork belly buns, and home style crispy pork loin. Everything was delicious.
I found this place by specifically looking for Chinese and it turned out great. There’s plenty of parking for the building but I do think this place can get busy. The setting has really cool designs on the wall and is very different from other Chinese restaurants. The food options were non-traditional and seemed almost fusion. The flavors were deep and delicious. My one criticism is it was slightly difficult placing an order because there was only one iPad (recommend servers use paper and pen). As an aside, rice is a La carte.
