Kung Food – West Palm Beach, FL
Hands down one of the best takeout experiences I’ve had in West Palm! Rolled in on a bustling Friday evening, placed my order for the General Tso’s meal, and was blown away from the moment I opened the bag.
First off, the portion size is insane—we’re talking a mountain of perfectly crispy chicken coated in that glossy, sweet-and-spicy sauce that hits every taste bud just right. Paired with fluffy steamed rice and a side of fresh veggies that actually tasted fresh (not the usual soggy takeout fare). Everything was piping hot, made-to-order, and clearly prepared with care.
Let’s talk value—the price is an absolute steal for the amount of food you get. I left feeling like I robbed the place (in the best way possible).
The restaurant itself was immaculate—spotless counters, organized pickup area, and a kitchen you could see was running like a well-oiled machine. Staff was friendly, efficient, and had my order ready in under 10 minutes even with a full house.
Kung Food isn’t just good Chinese takeout—it’s destination-worthy. Already told my friends, and I’ll be back next week (maybe twice). If you’re in West Palm and craving bold flavors, huge portions, and a clean spot that delivers every time, this is your spot.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 — Can’t recommend enough!

I was really excited to try this place after seeing so many positive reviews. The service itself was great—the woman working there was very friendly, and the food was prepared quickly (about 20 minutes). Unfortunately, I didn’t enjoy my meal.

I’m not a picky eater, but this fell short of my expectations. I ordered the medium combo with General Tso’s Chicken, Orange Chicken, and lo mein, along with a small side of vegetable fried rice and an egg roll (not pictured). The food overall was very oily, overly crunchy, and dry. While the chicken was soft on the inside, the orange chicken was excessively crunchy—more than I’ve ever experienced—and the flavor was off, almost soapy.

The fried rice was also disappointing and tasted like the oil or cookware hadn’t been refreshed in a while. It’s unfortunate, because the staff was genuinely kind and the restaurant itself is quaint and charming. I don’t think I will be returning.

Absolutely disgusting! The rice looked old and tasted burnt. It had no flavor and about 5 small shrimps the crab rangoons were basic. 1/5 for sure the (5) stars has to be fake or ordering from a secret menu. The rice alone is trash. Also, was the only customer at 2pm on a Monday was a sign to change my mind and order elsewhere. No smells of food being previously cooked or prepared. My philosophy is if no one else is there and/or if you don’t smell the food at the door LEAVE!!

Finding good Chinese food in West Palm has been so difficult and makes you hesitant to try a new place. I’m adding this spot to my list of favorites. I ordered the general tso’s and the pork fried rice. The breading and sauce on the chicken was perfect. It says it’s spicy but it’s actually pretty mild. The pork in the fried rice was maybe a bit overcooked but it was still delicious. I ordered for pickup and the staff was kind both on the phone and when I went to pick up. This place was worth the try!

I’m a regular because the food is usually good however the owner seems to have an attitude lately. I understand the language barrier but I had to order something different just to avoid her rudeness. Then I get my order and all the chicken is fried batter. I’m really frustrated.

Amazing Takeout!

Kung Food never disappoints! I ordered Mongolian Beef, Crab Rangoon, and Sweet & Sour Chicken, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The portions were generous, and the food was still hot when I got home. Fast service and great quality, definitely my go-to for Chinese takeout

Food was so delicious, atmosphere was friendly and nostalgic. I got the Spicy beef Pho and my husband got a medium combo with orange chicken, sesame chicken and lo mein. The Thai boba was delicious as well, I’m definitely coming back because the prices are very much worth it. This place is a hidden gem! You can tell the amount of effort this family owned business puts into their food and it definitely makes me feel like I’m at home away from home.
