I came here with some friends for dinner and overall had a good experience! We had the tofu appetizer (ask for no shaved fish to make it vegan), mushroom soup, edamame, vegetable gyoza, and three different veggie rolls. The food was all yummy and the restaurant was really nice! I also liked that they had a whole GF menu. I’d go back again. 🙂

Kumo Sushi in Collegeville is a clean, comfortable spot with a solid mix of sushi and hibachi options. The sushi was fine overall, though the rolls felt a bit overloaded and were pretty large in size. Entrées, on the other hand, seemed a little small for the price. Service was good — our server checked in and made sure we had everything we needed. It was an easy, straightforward dinner, but nothing that really stood out.

This place is so nice and cozy. Better to make a reservation before you go specially in weekends. Plenty of parking available in-front.
In weekends you may have to wait sometime to get a table even with a reservation. Not much maybe 5-10 minutes tops. You can sit while they arrange a table. Very nice staff so attentive and friendly.
They have many sushi options. All very delicious. They have fried rice and noodle options as well. Very generous portions. Their food presentation is also very nice. We love their fried chicken appetizer its very delicious and we always order it. Don’t forget to try it if you are there.
We will be visiting here often. Highly recommend the place!!

One of mine and my families all time favorite places to go. Can litterally eat here everyday. The sushi is so fresh and flavorful some of the best I’ve had! The lady Gaga and the green hornet is addicting!

Delicious experience!
I had an amazing dinner at Kumo! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the service was attentive without being intrusive, and every dish we tried was full of flavor. I highly recommend the samurai roll—it was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. Portions were generous, and everything came out quickly. Definitely coming back soon!

First visit to this restaurant. I made reservations for 7:30pm on Saturday. Not busy at all but there was some wintry weather. Atmosphere was okay. Not cozy or anything special. For a first visit I would expect recommendations, specials to be announced etc. We received none of that. Ordered some tea, a lot to look at on the menu. We were asked on 3 separate occasions if we were ready to order. We were not. Finally we made our choices and ordered. Our starter AND all of our entrees came out together. At that point we were told it was last call and if we needed anything else we had to order it at that point. We declined but ordered a dessert from the menu. Our starter was pretty good. The assorted sushi that we ordered was not good at all. Neither of us finished and didn’t not take it to go. The sushi was mushy and flavorless. Even the dessert seemed like it was something pulled out of the freezer and served as is. Also, we believe that some stomach upset the following days, was due to this “meal”. Very disappointed in the service, value and quality. We won’t visit again.

Wifey took me here on our Friday off for a celebratory lunch for my recent promotion. I chose this place based on a Google search, the location, and because I like sushi but she does not, however it looked like they had options for her. What I did but realize is they don’t serve alcohol and I didn’t notice that they are BYOB, or else I would have brought my own saki. Miso soup was good, edamame was also good as starters. I liked sushi, and she liked her California roll and the beef teriyaki bowl. Service was prompt. Place was much more crowded than I expected.

Food was very good, with generous size sushi rolls. Staff was very friendly to me and my family. Atmosphere was more upscale but not to much to were i felt uncomfortable bringing kids. Highly recommend and will be back.

I’ve been to Kumo a handful of times and never wrote a review yet because I wasn’t sure how I felt about my experiences overall. However, dinner tonight really solidified my thoughts. I had reserved a table for a party of 8 a week in advance. I called a few days later to see if I could add another table of 4 to the group, since 8 was the max for a table. The woman taking my call was very rude off the bat and said at first she could not accommodate another table of 4 under my name even though I knew there were tables available. She then complied a bit and said she could reserve another table of 4 under my name. I thanked her and asked if there was any way that table could be close to the table of 8. She said she couldn’t guarantee that and I said, “Okay, thank you. That’s fine.” She then very unnecessarily quipped, “I hope there’s not an argument about it tonight.” WHAT ON EARTH? I never even implied an argument or was argumentative in my tone. I had actually told her it was fine if the table of 4 wasn’t close to the table of 8.

When everyone all arrived and got seated, I realized that the table of 4 was the next table over from the table of 8. However, the table of 4 was still separate and a good 10-12 feet away. For the table of 4, two of my friends showed up, so I asked if they could bring their seats over or push the table to be adjacent to the table of 8. The same woman was rude and argumentative and said that could not be done whatsoever. It was so sad that my two friends had to be ostracized from everyone else, and they virtually ate by themselves since they weren’t within earshot of our table. Kumo won’t be getting my business again.

FYI- Kumo has been really skimping out on some of their orders. The pictures are both of the tuna avocado salad app- one noticeably much more generous in portion and ingredients than the other (and these were taken only one month apart)…
