Soup and suchi were good, but The sushi rolls tasted old like those you get at kroger that have been sitting there forever. Food didnt taste fresh. The rice was old. The customer service was excellent but quality and flavor weren’t what we expected.

The server was pushy and on the rude end of the spectrum. We ordered extra rice and she discouraged it, explaining that the combo comes with plenty rice. When it was time to go she was refusing me a bigger carry out box. My date was given a large box and I was given a small box, even though we had the same portion of food to box up. She did produce a bigger box when he pointed out the obvious. We both needed a large to go box. Then she refused to let me box the sushi with the meal. Very pushy but decent food.

Got takeout today… The hibachi shrimp with fried rice. While the hibachi part (minus the lemon seeds) and rice were delicious, the soup smelled funny so i didn’t even want to try it. That was really disappointing after the other part was so good…. Not sure i’ll go back 🙁

Ordered the sushi and sashimi combo which was $37 on Doordash but it’s a very large portion with a ton of fish and could easily feed 2 people if you weren’t too hungry. Fish was very fresh and the side salad with a miso dressing was quite good as well.

Definitely recommend Kumo Sushi. If you like spicy tuna and avocado try the Volcano Roll. The yellowtail and salmon nigiri were also delicious.
