The food is good. The service was great. It’s not your typical hibachi where they cook in front of you. We got the chicken & chicken/shrimp hibachi, along with a sushi roll. The food didn’t settle well for me.

Kumo Hibachi & Sushi in Dalton completely changed my mind about sushi. I’ve never really been a sushi person, but after eating here, I finally understand why people love it. The sushi is incredibly fresh, full of flavor, and honestly has me ordering it now when I normally wouldn’t.
And the hibachi—wow. The steak and chicken are top quality. The flavor and tenderness are so good that I’d honestly rather order their hibachi steak than get a steak from a local steakhouse. You can taste the difference.
I also had the chance to speak with one of the owners, and he said the “secret” is using fresh, high-quality ingredients—and you can absolutely tell. Everything tastes clean, fresh, and premium. Easily one of my favorite restaurants in Dalton, and I’ll definitely be back.

Our server did her best. She placed the order but the kitchen did not deliver the food allergy free. They changed the food item but the contaminant was still on the plate. The rest of the group enjoyed their food.

Total of six adults placed three pickup orders. Decent sized orders, we did it several hours ahead of time for a 5:30 pickup. From hibachi, to sushi, pretty much everything in between.
We arrived at 5:25, they checked out names/numbers with our orders. Each of us paid. First order was handed to us at 5:31, then the next two 5:32. We are not mad that they weren’t ready on the “dot” because we placed the orders hours in advance. We’d rather it put together fresh and we expected maybe a few minutes wait. That was perfectly fine.
They also triple checked one of the orders that was complicated just to make sure they had everything correct.
There was not a single complaint from any of us. Everything was perfect and fresh, and we have some picky eaters in our group.
There’s several places around Dalton that have sushi/Hibachi and this is a safe bet!

I used to love this place, i would get it all the time. However i placed an order to go and ordered extra sauce. i checked bag to make sure everything was in there and my extra sauce that i paid for wasnt in the bag. I told the person that was taking to orders and she stood there arguing with me telling me there supposed to be 3 but after 5 minutes of me telling her there was not she continued to keep saying i need to pay for more after i already did and after her basically saying i was stupid. Needless to say they are money hungry and there customer service is poor ! The food also was old and the chicken was so dry and hard i could barely swallow…

We always have a great time dining with Kumo, the owners are very kind, sometimes the waiters aren’t very friendly, but everyone has bad days yeah? Kumo is our chosen restaurant for all celebrations and special occasions as well as casual dining. Their food is always fresh and priced well.

All of the high chairs were broken except one so we had to hold our toddler on our lap during our meal until the one being used was made available. The restaurant entrance area toward the bathrooms is dirty. Random things and pallets stacked on tables in plain view, toilet paper and debris on the floor. My husband is someone who is known to eat anything, even if it’s sub-par, but he could not eat their terrible “fried rice.” The fried rice seemed like it was steamed white rice that had been slopped onto the grill for a minute. It was hard and flavorless. When the waitress asked how the food was and he told her, instead of asking if he wanted to try something else she simply suggested smothering it in sauce to cover up the taste. UNREAL. I have no idea how this place is open or has the ratings it does.

I’ve been going here for years, they have little fish to greet you at the entrance, the staff is always super nice and will do their best to serve you well. I personally like the salmon hibachi and a couple sushi rolls. Both are delicious and priced just right
