Did the dinner tasting menu and some à la carte cocktails. The cocktails were amazing; totally makes sense that they were one of North America’s greatest bars. The food was good too – I’d call it Japanese fusion. I do think it was a bit overpriced for what we had, but was still a great meal. Good spot for a special occasion.

LOVED IT. the truffle milk toast is out of this world. quite expensive for just drinks so definitely have some of the food. chicken karaage and potato salad are great as well. we booked the whisky bar for an intimate date night and learned a lot about japanese whisky. the servers were excellent.

Beautiful Japanese-inspired bar with a calm, refined vibe..

• Cloud Hopper (Rice Shochu) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Very clean and refreshing with a strong rice character. Lightly sweet and easy to drink, but not quite special enough for me to be memorable.
• Moonlight Daiquiri (Flight) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
A really interesting progression.
The main cocktail was a gently sweet matcha-forward drink. The flight moved through ginjo → cocktail → tea, creating layered textures and flavors that evolved with each sip. Thoughtful and well executed.
• Sea Flower (Gin-based) ⭐⭐⭐⭐½☆
Strong and spirit-forward, with a salty-sour powder around the rim. Quite acidic and bold, but well balanced and nicely done.
• Hojicha Gimlet ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
My favorite of the night. Made with dry gin and roasted green tea—deep tea aroma, clean structure, and incredibly satisfying. The tea flavor really came through.
Overall Thoughts
No surprise this place consistently ranks among the world’s top bars. The cocktails are precise, intentional, and quietly complex rather than flashy.
Also tried the truffle milk toast and potato salad—both were excellent and much better than expected.

Lovely staff and atmosphere. Candle lit, soft background music, and intimate which makes this location ideal for date night. All cocktails were well done. The sea flower cocktails l was citrusy & crisp. The cloud hopper was fruity & delightful. Blueberry old fashion was impressive with the subtle fruit undertones. The wagyu sando (honey & truffle) was okay. I understood the complexity of the meat, but I wasn’t blown away. Potato salad & chicken karage were pretty decent. Milk toast was delicious with a crème brule-like top and tasty flavors. Be prepare for small portions & some high end prices. I will come back for cocktails and dishes under $25.

such a beautiful bar/restaurant with stellar service. they have a huge drink menu with very unique tasting drinks – my favorite was the cloud hopper, which may be my favorite cocktail of all time. the food was beautifully presented, and it tasted delicious, but it can get expensive if you plan to fill up on food here. excited to come back again for the cloud hopper cocktail!

One-of-a-kind experience that’s worth every penny. Inventive cocktails that tasted and felt outstanding. Service was second to none. Very professional and warm (shout-out to Emanuel, who waited our table). We got some light food and especially loved the potato salad. The elevated atmosphere is very welcoming. Whiskey bar seating is a must for a private and cozy date night. Let the bartender guide you through the extensive whiskey and cocktail list to find the perfect drink. Would recommend: “lychee” cocktail, any highball, Japanese potato salad, wagyukatsu with preserved lemon, scallops, and the pickled mushroom stater.
