I stopped by for a solo sushi date (highly recommend treating yourself, by the way), and it did not disappoint. Definitely a hidden gem!
The customer service is top-notch! Employees are attentive and welcoming. Shoutout to Tyler, Stephanie, and Josh. They were all great! Service was quick, and the food came out fast, which I always appreciate when I’m hungry and craving something specific.
I ordered the Baked Mussels and the Baked Salmon. Both were flavorful, well-prepared, and satisfying. The mussels had a savory finish, and the salmon was tender and generously portioned. Simple dishes done right. This is a great spot to bring family and friends, but it’s also perfect for a solo dining moment. I’ll definitely be back to explore more of the menu.

I love everything about this place so homie and welcoming the waiter (josh) always remember my order maybe im here to much but thats how much its so goooddd. Whenever im having a bad day me and my friends just come and sit and eat and talk for so long enjoying the environment. The energy here gives my living room energy. The food always so fresh and delicious and their service is honestly the best ive ever had and i travel countries and states a lot and honestly best service ive ever experienced. Special shout out to my friends josh honestly the face of the place and such a beautiful person in and out truly the best waiter. Wonderful place thanks josh!!! And ofc the rest of the team!

The staff — including the young manager — are always attentive, welcoming, and on point.
We love their rolls, appetizers (the best tempura — perfectly crispy and flaky!), and the Kalbi is absolutely fire.

There wasn’t waiting time, but it was a little congested in lunch time on Friday. It shows that the restaurant is poplar. As it shows, a Tempra Soba I ordered is great. As same as Japanese one. Especially Tempra are awesome! There were some Japanese customers, I know they and me want to eat Japanese quality soba and we can take it here in affordable price.
The board outside the entrance shows the “lunch special” but there wasn’t it on a menu.

This one of our favorite sushi restaurants when we’re the area. This time we got the tempura vegetable roll and salmon tempura roll. Both were delicious but the salmon tempura roll is 10/10. Highly recommend. And they had some new import beers from Japan. The yuzu was refreshing and crisp.

My husband and I just ate here and received Nordstrom level customer service. The place was basically packed when we arrived, but we were greeted by Josh with a warm, friendly “welcome, thank you for choosing us”. Despite them being busy, we were sat almost immediately at one of the two remaining tables.
We looked over the menu and were pleased with the clearly labeled vegan options. We ordered 4 rolls total and an appetizer. I had ordered the matcha latte and told Josh I preferred it to be on the sweeter side. He came back quickly with the best matcha latte I had ever had, perfectly sweet and creamy. The rolls were delicious and we even had some leftovers. I asked for extra sauces and I was brought a generous portion quickly, which is amazing because I’m a sauce girly for sure! My husband had a fountain drink and was very thirsty, but Josh kept up with his refills constantly. I saw him serving many other tables, I think it was just him and another woman working besides the kitchen, and everyone seemed happy and well taken care of.
The restaurant has a nice sized menu. Not too much so you get lost trying to pick something, but large enough to have an option for anyone.
I saw another review on here where the commenter made a snide remark about one of the staff’s body. How gross of a person do you have to be to do that? As long as the staff are clean and kind (which they were!!!!), those comments have no place here. Shame on that person.
Anyway, I loved our encounter here and we plan on eating here again next time we’re in San Diego ♥️

Staff are very welcoming. Sushi is good as well. Lots of variety of rolls. Better than the AYCE sushi spots in the area. Have to mention Josh our server. He was great and provided great service to us. Thank you Josh!

Friendly sushi place in the Claremont area, with good parking options, which is an important consideration for the area. The ambience is a bit basic and the sushi was sort of to match – not flashy, but good. The rice was a bit more chewy than I like and the fish, though generously portioned, could be chunky in parts. The Agadeshi tofu was made of soft tofu, which was unusual.

Everything was delicious and fresh. I really enjoyed the Tonkatsu Curry and spicy garlic edamame (not pictured because I immediately dug in lol). My mom really enjoyed the Crispy “no rice” roll, and she’s not as versed/adventurous as I am when it comes to Japanese food/sushi.
The staff was great, attentive, and efficient. So glad I finally made it to try out. Will definitely be back soon to try more of the menu! ☺️

Decent food and lackluster service. Apart from the vegetable rolls, everything we ordered left something to be desired. I ordered the chicken yakisoba, which, although filling, was drowned in sauce, and full of raw broccoli. Our waiter was inattentive and took 15 minutes to settle the check with us. We had to call him several times so he could come over to our table and take our payment. There are many better Asian restaurants to go to in this area.
