Food was amazing we sat at the bar bartender was friendly and knowledgeable.
We try the dinosaur egg for the first time and it was unbelievable recommend getting this one for sure.
We also tried the king crab gyoza those were phenomenal!
We will definitely be back food prices we’re on point and food was super fresh. We had a wonderful time Thank you so much to our great bartender Jess.
The bar is large and has plenty of drinks as well. The area is clean, the seating is somewhat close around the grill but not terrible.
The chef was having a good time and wanted participation on the classic catch food and saki drink
Tried the establishment in Epping with the same name two (2) months ago- just awful! Threw most of it out
Ordered takeout and when I called the woman who answered the phone said they have gluten free soy sauce/teriyaki sauce and can accommodate gluten free…then proceeded to ask me if I wanted the noodles and the rice or just the rice. (For those who aren’t aware: the noodles are not gluten free). Just made it pretty obvious she wasn’t knowledgeable about GF.
I have been to the Epping location without any issue so I took a gamble and decided to trust that maybe the kitchen staff would be more knowledgeable. But when I picked up dinner and started to pick at it there were noodles mixed in to the meal. Whether that was ignorance about anything GF and the basic standard precautions needed, or just carelessness I’m not sure. But I don’t advise that anyone who has celiac or gluten intolerance eat here just to be safe.
Granted nowhere that does non-GF options can guarantee no cross-contamination, but if you’re going to tell people that you can offer a GF meal please know what that actually entails. And please train the kitchen staff preparing the meal on basic safety standards- like prepping/cooking in a separate area, or cleaning the surface of non-GF items first before cooking, or (and I do feel like this should be common sense), don’t cook GF and non-GF items at the same time using the same surface.
This isn’t to throw any shade on this business, but only to make my experience public so that other people with celiac or gluten intolerance can tread carefully if considering eating here. I wouldn’t recommend it.
