Visited 19th July 2025 – We were travelling through the USA on holiday from England when we chanced upon this absolute gem of a cafe. We fell lucky as it was Saturday which was cake baking day. The table was loaded with fresh baked doughnuts which were lovely. Thanks to Becky and the Team for looking after us so well. We were made to feel really welcome and would love to return again although the 4080 mile trip is a bit wearing. Thanks again for all your kindness and great food.

Small Town dining at its finest. We came on a Sunday and enjoyed the brunch buffet which I believe is from 11am- 2pm, a meal of fried chicken, sauerkraut, mashed potatoes (made with real potatoes, might I add..), white gravy, knoephla, all hot and fresh. There was a really nice salad bar with home made salad dressings, noodle salads (2 different varieties), and home made potato salad. The service was friendly, in fact it felt like coming home for Sunday dinner. If there wasn’t a table available, folks weren’t shy to invite you to sit down!

This is a second updated review that I’m posting, so if you want to check out my other updated reviews, go check those out.
But anyways, this is the best small town resturant I’ve ever ate at.
First off is the food. The food is quite yummy and filling. I also like the options you get here too.
Next is the atmosphere. The other resturant here has a notable reputation for being unwelcome and talking crap about everyone in the area, but this is quite welcoming. I feel comfortable going in here and I welcome the fact there’s none of the drama found at the other restaurant in town.
Lastly, is the people who go there. I’ve been enrolled at Kulm Public School since 2013 and I have a mostly positive reputation within the Kulm, Fredonia, and Edgeley area so people know me really well and I know them really well. So sometimes I have a short conversation with friends I know and I enjoy meeting with them.
So yea, this is me and my family’s top local spot to eat and hang out. If you are ever in Kulm, have a seat and eat. Trust me, it’s worth it :D.

Where do I begin? The food was the best! My friend had a burger.. made exactly right! I had an awesome chicken burger.. the buns were so good.. toasted. Everything is homemade! We both had a cup of their German sausage and spaztle soup. It was out of this world good! So we asked for some to take home. Didn’t care how much it cost. So the wonderful lady walks out with an ice cream bucket over half full! I handed her our ticket and said to add the amount on it. She told us they were closing for the day and wouldn’t be open until Tuesday so we should just take it! What a treat!!
