One of our favorite spots in Atascadero! Their food is consistently delicious and the owners and people who work there are simply the best. Highly recommend their edamame – it’s grilled in their homemade teriyaki sauce and is to die for! Perfect for a casual lunch, a glass of wine, or a date night.

We showed up just before closing and they were nice enough to seat us (wife, I and infant) we ordered the smoked salmon musubi and the ahi salad both were great! I also ordered the golden mix wine on the owners recommendation and I definitely enjoyed it. Would recommend to anyone in the area.

My first time at Kula was a welcome surprise. After a few friends told me about their positive experiences, I randomly popped in for a business lunch. The menu was diverse and I was tempted by so many of the dishes. I finally settled on the pork tacos but when my friend ordered the ahi bowl, I changed my mind until our server suggested we order both and share. That was my wisest decision of the day. The pork tacos were savory with meat piled high on each of the three tacos. The ahi bowl was done to perfection with rice, slaw, edamame and tasty chunks of sushi grade ahi. Service was attentive without being intrusive. The restaurant’s atmosphere is very inviting and that front outdoor eating area will be a delight on a warm Atascadero evening this summer. I’ll be back for dinner to try some additional menu items.

We are very fortunate to have a Hawaiian restaurant of this quality here in our little town of Atascadero. We’ve eaten here at least four times by now and have always had a very positive experience, both of the food as well as the service. And the owners are also wonderful. Ayako (the wife) is just a sweetheart and will personally come to your table to make sure everything is going well for you. So far I’ve had their Ahi Tuna Poke bowl, Kalua Pork, and Short Ribs (which I believe may no longer be on the menu), and all were excellent. I’ve been with others who have ordered the Teriyaki Chicken and loved it. So if you’re in town and want to try something different than the normal fare you usually find, I’d highly recommend dining here. Oh, and I have to mention their wines that they make are also excellent and have won numerous gold medals so you can’t go wrong their either!

Second time coming here and the food is genuinely really good, no complaints there. The only odd experience was when we tried to pay in cash and our server said they had no change for us… So were basically forced to pay with card. I’ve never had that happen at a restaurant before and it felt a little strange/uncomfortable.
Overall still a good spot for food, just wish the payment situation was handled better.

So delicious for take out or dining in! Love their Smoked Salmon Masubi, their pork tacos, and tonight also tried their Mochiko Chicken Express Plate. Our picky kiddo can always find something she likes too, and we love their wine as well, also for tasting in-house with friends or stopping in after work to grab a bottle to take home or as a gift. Super friendly hospitable staff.

This place is amazing. The people are so friendly and easy to talk. Kendall was so friendly and honest, which made it easier to make choices. Paul wasn’t even our waiter/ bartendar, but he was great to chat with. Their shrimp appetizer w Mango was so good. But my favorite was the Kalbi Short Rib. My wife loved the Loco Moco. My 2nd favorite was the Kalua Pork. It was good by itself, BUT mixing it w the tasty veggies and the rice made it unbelievably delicious. I can’t wait to go back…

The owners of Kula Winery have brought their love of Hawaii alive with their new restaurant! Everything was so good and pairs nicely with their wines:
*Loco Moco with beautiful runny egg with a solid brown gravy
*Teriyaki Chicken that’s marinated overnight in a housemade sauce
*Ahi Poke, fresh cuts of fish with nice fresh veggies
*Musubi two ways, smoked salmon was not dry and right amount of smoke and Spam had a slightly spicy Sriracha mayo on top
*Fried Tofu had a sweet and salty sauce with a nice fried skin on the outside
*Chocolate kahlua cake with a chocolate cookie crust has a fudgey torte like filling and pairs great with their Hana’s blend
*Mochi ice cream four flavors passion fruit, green tea, cherry blossom, and blood orange) goes well with the Picpoul Blanc

Casual atmosphere, great wait staff. Wine maker on call and is very friendly and laid back. There’s a tasting room attached to the restaurant.
