My family has been going to Kuishimbo for almost 30 years. We absolutely love this place and we come here whenever we’re in the area. The charbroiled flavor her is so strong and delicious. We love the cabbage salad and the curtido (pickled cabbage). It may not be the most authentic Japanese food, but it’s so yummy either way. This location is a bit bigger than the other location. Parking is difficult to find on the street during busy hours, but there is a parking garage with valet parking for $5. I’d definitely recommend trying this place!

This place is great. Have been coming here for many years, the workers are hard working people with great service skills. I hope the owner values their hard work. The food is very good, still hold to it’s quality after all these years. The presentation is ok, but the food quality is very good. The atmosphere does need some work as far as cleanliness, but other than that it’s work a visit every once in a while.

My favorite restaurant! Just the grilled chicken has a greasy flavor!

First time here and really delicious! We ordered the steak plate, chicken teriyaki plate – both come with rice and salad – and 4 schrimp yakitory. All around $42. Not badly priced keeping in mind the amount of food. Great outdoor area covered by little bushes.

They were once really good. But as the years passed, they started pre cooking it and once you order you get it immediately but you don’t really taste the freshness of it anymore. Before I didn’t mind waiting then and wouldn’t mind waiting now. But yeah, you get what they give. The flavors are there, it’s still good but they could be better if they made it fresh.

A typical hole in the wall restaurant with the most incredible short ribs in LA!!! Great staff and chefs!

This restaurant has gone downhill on roller skates. The staff here are so rude. My order is always wrong. The cashier/server Jacqueline is the worst. She can’t take an order to save her life. I’ve been a customer for 30+ years. The prices have increased but the portions have decreased. The quality of the food a d service has changed for the worst. I will not be returning to a restaurant that I enjoyed for over 30 years.

This is a teriyaki gem! I have been to Kuishimbo since childhood and still at least 3-4 times monthly. Their teriyaki is one of the best and affordable. I normally order half beef and half chicken. The dish comes with cabbage salad, I would wait until the end and mix with beef+chicken teriyaki sauce. Man, I kinda craving for it again. 🙂
