This restaurant is deeply rooted in the LA community and has built a loyal following over the years.
The short ribs are an absolute must. I always go for plate #2 with both short ribs and chicken. The flavors are rich and comforting, and the portion is perfect.
My second favorite item is their shredded lettuce salad with ginger dressing. Do yourself a favor and grab two extra cups of that dressing; it’s that good.
Even the grab-and-go drinks are a pleasant surprise, priced super affordably compared to most spots in the area.

The ribs and chicken plate are pretty tasty. I enjoy every bite and I’ve been going there for a year now and they made good food. I really like that place to eat throughout the week. I never had any problem with my food. I’m a happy costumer

My family has been going to Kuishimbo for almost 30 years. We absolutely love this place and we come here whenever we’re in the area. The charbroiled flavor her is so strong and delicious. We love the cabbage salad and the curtido (pickled cabbage). It may not be the most authentic Japanese food, but it’s so yummy either way. This location is a bit bigger than the other location. Parking is difficult to find on the street during busy hours, but there is a parking garage with valet parking for $5. I’d definitely recommend trying this place!

First time here and really delicious! We ordered the steak plate, chicken teriyaki plate – both come with rice and salad – and 4 schrimp yakitory. All around $42. Not badly priced keeping in mind the amount of food. Great outdoor area covered by little bushes.

Great place, food made with love. Lady who gave me the food handed it to me with love too. Food was amazing. Got a large chicken teriyaki! So thankful for this amazing meal!

Delicious yakisoba. Had a little too many veggies for my liking but the noodles were amazing. Not a fan of the egg rolls. Would definitely order again.

They were once really good. But as the years passed, they started pre cooking it and once you order you get it immediately but you don’t really taste the freshness of it anymore. Before I didn’t mind waiting then and wouldn’t mind waiting now. But yeah, you get what they give. The flavors are there, it’s still good but they could be better if they made it fresh.

The flavors and quality has not changed over the years. Definitely a foundation eatery in LA that reminds us of our childhood

This is one of my favorite places in the world, I’m addicted to their yakisoba. Unfortunately it’s a tale of two chefs or something. Sometimes it’s beautiful, filled with color and vegetables and garnishes and is obviously made with such care. Then the other half of the time it looks like this…
