The breakfast buffet is extensive, expensive, and borderline an embarrassment of riches, despite missing smoked salmon, a staple and a popular option at all fancy breakfast buffets. They open at 5 am, which is unusual for an establishment on Waikiki Beach. Sit by the window and you’ll get an amazing view of the Pacific.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. My mother and I decided to go here to eat breakfast as we got two free dining tickets. As soon as we got seated, we set out for food and when we came back, our waitress suddenly told us that we needed to pay $17 extra each. We had apparently taken from the side that is not included in the free meal when we were given NO instructions or guidance.

If you’re staying at the Marriott, this is one option for breakfast. However, at $48 US per person for the buffet, you don’t get anything special for what you’re paying. The service was impeccable though, but overall the food selections available weren’t worth $48/each. Compared to other resorts we’ve stayed at, this was incredibly overpriced. Our server, however, was really sweet and very attentive to us. She even brought my wife a flower for her hair and offered to take pictures of us after the meal.

Food is really overpriced for an barely average typical buffet when no one should be somewhat pressured to eat several typical plates of breakfast food to try and get your money worth. Besides that, the scenery inside and location is why I barely gave the place 3 stars. Spend your money elsewhere..

Breakfast variety was small. The cost per adult is $43. It looks good, but nothing more.

Great window view of the beach across the street…no wait as I arrived just before closing @11am… Huge buffett assortment. I have forgotten the official name of this dish but it was delicious…eggs, short ribs, mushrooms, onions…hearty portion. The server was very attentive and friendly. Would recommend!

My first vacation in Oahu, Hawaii was a bit disappointing but Kuhlo Beach Grill at the Waikiki Marriott Beach Resort was the best part of the day. They only do breakfast but they do it very very well. We had the complimentary buffet breakfast which offered great food, fruit, breads, and great service. Great way to start your day!!

The price is complete robbery. $300 for a relatively simple breakfast buffet for a family of six with two children. Get your eggs and oatmeal elsewhere.

Great service, good food. We had free continental breakfasts for two due to Marriott Bonvoy Titanium status. The kind server explained that the continental breakfast (see menu) is valued at $14. We may order that, or apply the value to any other items we may wish to order. We stuck to the continental breakfasts, but ordered a hot chocolate $5 for our daughter. We had enough foresight to have our second continental breakfast boxed up (we are not big breakfast eaters, usually just coffee), and split the one meal, which was plenty as I was going on a Koko hike later. The banana bread (they were out of Taro rolls) was delicious, the papaya was fresh, sweet and fragrant with the squeeze of lime, and the granola yogurt was perfect and not overly sweet. Overall a very good experience, and we’ll be back again for our complimentary breakfast.
