Possibly some of the BEST THAI FOOD I’ve ever had in my life!!! I’m confused about the negative reviews. The ambiance was AMAZING!!! The food was INCREDIBLE – fresh, delicious, they were generous in portions and as a vegetarian I feel like I often get a few shredded pieces of carrot but this was a legit meal!!! So so so tasty!!! Our waitress May was so attentive and lovely!!! The gentleman with the red hair Yai – he was so sweet and took a picture of my friend and I. Wonderful food, service, atmosphere, and reasonable prices especially for NJ. I can’t wait to come back and bring my family!! You can see in the photo they were not stingy with the veggies or tofu. It was so amazing!! All of the things on the menu with the green leaves can be turned into vegetarian dishes!

Highly reviewed, located in Somerville downtown… so we started with high expectations. Service was great, no issues. Gets busy during lunch hour.

We started off with summer rolls, which came already precut and with a tiny bit of sauce on top. Nice and minty but needed the pre-lunch salad dressing to really flavor it out. Maybe more sauce on the side?

This place is also the first Thai I’ve seen to offer “duck noodle soup” so my friend had to try it. I got myself a chicken pad see ew… but our meals looked and tasted very similar except his was in broth form. Maybe its because they are both poultry? A bit too oily with not enough veggies.

Overall from our limited tasting, it was a very average experience for a higher price. But would be willing to try something completely different next time.

I love this place. The food always tastes super fresh and flavorful. Thai food is my favorite food so I’ve tried a lot of difference places , and this one is one of my favorites. My favorite is the tom yum soup, it’s packed with flavor and comforting. Everything I’ve tried there has been consistently good. Will def come back again and again !

I might not know a ton about Thai food, but I know this restaurant is worth going to. Had the crispy pork bun, which was the perfect bite. Crispy pork with pickle vegetables, and a bao bun that might as well been a pillow because it was that soft. For dinner had the Khao Soi with pork and a fried egg. Not many dishes can make me keep eating while full, but I was stuffed and had a lot of trouble stopping. 100% would recommend coming here.

I wanted to try a new Thai restaurant with my friend, and we had a great first impression—the staff were friendly and the atmosphere was stylish.
The beef sate was amazing and paired perfectly with the sauce. The noodle curry was our favorite—it had a rich coconut flavor, and the level 4 spice I requested added a nice kick without overwhelming the dish.
Unfortunately, the chef’s special duck dish was a disappointment. It was salty and had an off-putting smell.

Came here with a larger party for lunch. Our server was very attentive and brought things without even being asked (sharing plates, extra napkins, etc). Food was extremely tasty and the portion sizes generous. Will absolutely come back.

Kuay Tiew is one of my favorite Thai restaurants. The food is super authentic and walking in feels like I walked into a Thai Cafe. I served in Peace Corps Thailand and when I miss it, I come here. I had the steak salad with sticky rice and it was delicious, I’ve also had the chicken pad Thai which was also delicious. We had the shrimp dumplings and they were also yummy.

Came here for a quick lunch and the staff there were so incredibly nice and attentive. I ordered the pad see ew and the nice lady said they did not have the fat noodles ready but went back to the kitchen to hurry up and make sure they had it ready for me. They gave me complimentary chips with sweet and sour sauce as well. The food was a bit salty but the service was so nice it was forgivable

Had been eyeing this place for weeks and finally tried it out for dinner tonight and so glad we did! Tried the drunken noodle and ramen, both of which were so flavorful! Loved the warm lighting and friendly service too. Really wanted to try the mango sticky rice dessert but accidentally didn’t leave room for it so we will just have to go back for it!
