Did anybody else get sick from eating here? I’m talking about like within a few hours from eating here. I had steak and chicken fried rice with shrimp sauce and broccoli, sushi (hot poppa), fries. When we recieve our food. The food was nearly cold, bc the steak looked dried up as if it was sitting there for a mintue now. We felt really full. After i got home, i took a nap and woke up really nausea. Since then ive been battling diarrhea and i vomit once, i got the chills, irriated stomach. Mind you my man did not eat his rice from the stir fry but only the meat. I dont want to cause a scene, but im just wondering if anybody else also got sick shortly after?

Pros:
-Our server was very friendly.
-Mango sake and egg roll appetizer were very delicious.
– My fantasy tempura sushi roll was also very good.
– Discount on lo mein
Cons:
-The wait. We waited about 45 minutes for our entrees (2 sushi rolls and 2 sides fried rice) after waiting, the server let us know they were out of fried rice and it would be 20-25 minutes to cook more, so we opted for lo mein which was ok. Not bad, just not great either.
– My Husband’s lobster roll was just ok. He didn’t really taste lobster.
-booth seats moved too easily when I or people on the other side moved around.
Overall, I’m glad I tried it. But wouldn’t choose to go here over some of our other favorite places.

Yes, the worse miso soup and sushi I have ever had! Who puts cucumbers in spicy tuna? Tough chewy fish, zero flavor, a pinch of cream cheese. $13 down the toilet.
You just need to serve Habachi and remove sushi from your menu! This was really awful.

We are so lucky to have found this place on our way to Smokey Mountains. It’s not far off the highway so it has a great location to stop for food. The staff is extremely friendly, always coming to tables with smiles on their faces. We got our food super fast as well and it was absolutely delicious. The prices are very affordable. I recommend this place! Atmosphere is great and service is just fantastic.

It’s been years since I’ve ate at Ku-Ru due to not really caring for the food previously however – I tried it again and this time everything was great! The Crab Rangoons were so fresh and delicious! The sushi was great, next time I’ll get more of the speciality rolls to try. Our waitress was all smiles and very pleasant to have.

The food was great! Here from NY it’s hard to find a good sushi place with fresh fish, I’ve tried many locations in the area and this is the top of the list for quality. The staff is knowledgeable and service was great. Everything came out perfectly. We will be returning!!

This is the best sushi in Hickory. Never had to wait. The waitresses are very friendly and prompt. Very nice atmosphere. Had another great lunch here yesterday. Nice lunch specials on sushi. I got 3 rolls for $12.99. Crab salad was great too. Keep it up. I highly recommend stopping by here.
