K’s Dairy Bar – As my dog Juni and I were traveling Rt1 north today my stomach was beginning to tell me that I needed to find a place to grab some lunch. Looking but not finding anything, it happened… I saw this little dairy bar and it had a sign that said “Lobster Rolls”… How could I resist? I always enjoy find these obscure little “hole in the wall” (please don’t take that the wrong way) because they provide a feeling that ya just don’t get at the touristy joints.
That being said, I had a lobster roll and fresh cut chips that couldn’t be beat. They were fresh and delicious served in a cardboard type takeout box which pleased me greatly. It’s so frustrating when served a takeout in a styrofoam sweat box.
Best of all Juni got to sit with me on the outside patio. I can assure you that if my travels bring me this was again, I’ll be stopping for a bite to eat.

My family and I decided to try K’s last night. We’re kind of picky eaters. Not so much about the type of food but the quality. We got the onion rings, the mac and cheese, a pulled pork sandwich, and the Parmesan crusted chicken Caesar salad.
The Mac and cheese and onion rings were the star of the show. The fact that the Mac and cheese can be taken to go and still be so good and creamy and not like mush, 10/10.
Onion rings were so flaky and delicious.
Not to say that the sandwich and salad weren’t fantastic. Will definitely be going back.

I stopped tonight and got a CARAMEL soft serve cone. They have 28 flavors of soft serve and they have Lobster rolls Too.
So happy I found this place! Very nice server too.. thoughtful… 5 stars from me!

Never been here before but stopped in to try it other and we’re glad that we did. No wonder that they got all 5 star reviews because it’s excellent. Got a fried clam basket with fries and coleslaw. That was excellent with good portions to boot. We also had a cheeseburger which was huge and cooked exactly the way we like it…medium well. This too was excellent. For dessert we had soft serve vanilla in a dish . Again, they knocked it out of the park. Excellent quality and portions. We’ll be back.

This is now K’s Dairy Bar and they’ve expanded into food. We’re more interested in the ice cream and super happy they’ve kept Giffords. My biggest issue was how small a regular sundae was for the price. Last season, we could get 4 ice cream bowls, usually 2 large scoops each, and 3 of them being sundaes for about $22. This came to over $28 and they only had one okay-ish scoop each for the sundaes. Hopefully, this is just growing pains of new management, and the sizes will improve. Paying over $7 for what is essentially a small sundae isn’t something we’d do often. Otherwise, the staff was great and the ice cream was delicious.

Gifford’s ice cream! Maine’s best. The gal at the counter the other evening was super friendly and nice to buy from.
It’s fun to have soft-serve from time to time, even though it’s made from some sort of powder mix I think. They have 24 flavors. The black berry flavor was delicious, very much like a natural berry flavor.

Decided to get lunch here on a whim so we sent a “scout” down to pick up a menu. After making our decision we called and ordered. I was amazed that our food would only be a 15 minute wait so I headed down after 10 minutes and true to their word the food was done in the 15 minute time frame. We got the fried haddock sandwich basket and a BBQ cheeseburger basket plus a side of fries. Only words heard between bites were “AWESOME” “KILLER” and “TO DIE FOR!!” We will definitely return a couple of time a week at least!! Great job guys!!!! Now where is that 6 Star button?

They have good ice cream but so do a dozen other places nearby. But K’s also offers a full menu with burger, chicken, and seafood choices. Everything is delicious and the portions are very generous. Nice covered dining spot outside as well as fresh air picnic tables. Worth a visit!

I have been several times now and each time the service and the food are amazing! The Parmesan crusted chicken sandwich was so so good, onion rings are amazing, seasonal soup is to die for, great cheeseburgers, I mean I could keep going on and on! Omg can’t forget about the Mac and cheese!!! Some of the best homemade I’ve actually ever had- the portion was huge and reheated great for leftovers the next day!! Don’t sleep on this place! And did I mention the service?? Amazing<3
