We haven’t been here since it was Patsys, and we’re not sure what to expect. It is remodeled and the tables are rearranged, which was nice. Some of the staff is from the old place and very friendly and efficient.
They now have fresh menudo. I ordered that as it was the special, and my wife ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs. She ordered a thin pancake as her side. The menudo was so good with all the right accompaniments. Good flavor, ripe nice, and tender cut in bite-sized chunks. Lots of hominy and the broth was on point. The chicken fried steak didn’t disappoint either. Nice and tender and the gravy was so good. Potatoes were delicious also.
Wonderful service with a smile, too. Prices are very reasonable. Actually, the menudo was the cheapest I’ve seen. This is our new place in Banning/Beaumont.

The breakfast I got was great (machaca omlette with home fries and fruit), very good portion sized. I could only eat half my breakfast and took the rest home. We had a fairly large party of 5 and the waitress was on point when it came to checking up on us and refilling our drinks. I’ll definitely come back again.

Chilaquiles ‘n Eggs – Instead of spanish rice, requested home fries, and over easy eggs instead of scrambled. The whole plate was absolutely delicious!

We arrived around 11am on a Thursday and were seated right away. There was only one server for the entire restaurant, but she handled it like a boss. She was very sweet to my kids. I ordered the country fries steak and eggs, which was great. The pancakes were good too. The restaurant was clean. Very sketchy neighborhood though.
