Not a place I’d look forward to returning to.
I placed an online order that included a shake. When I arrived to pick it up, I was told their ice cream machine wasn’t working. This wasn’t reflected in the app at all, which was frustrating since the shake was the only reason I came. They did offer to let me switch to something else, so since I was already there, I decided to try their food instead.
Unfortunately, the food was nothing to get excited about. The burgers were easily the worst part-extremely soggy and lacking flavor. The chicken was slightly better, but there wasn’t much actual meat to it.
Overall, it was an unsatisfying experience and not somewhere I’d recommend or plan to revisit.

Pulled in at 10:15 Friday, May 23, 2025. One car was in front of us. We sat at the menu without anyone acknowledging we were there. As we started to drive away thinking they were closed for some reason, a male voice took our order. 4 Krystal’s, 1- pup, 1 medium fry and 1- Spicy Chicken. Pulled to window, a female asks what we ordered. We told her, she takes our card, runs it and say- ‘It’s going to be awhile’ please pull up. My hubby asked, ‘wait, what is a while, she laughed and told us to pull forward. We did, we noticed there was 1 other car. (The car that was in front of us). We sat there for 5 more cars to pull forward (now parking in parking spots). We witnessed the male voice come out of the door, go to car (in front of us) said, he’s made their order 2 times, why don’t they have it. Started cursing and having a melt down, and yelling he was the ONLY one here, taking orders and cooking, that it is BS. He came to us and asked what we ordered. We told him. We also said, we would like our money back that female should have told us about the waiting BEFORE she ran our card. He ignored that. About 25 minutes later, female comes out with our order. We are staying at Hilton next door. We both take a bit of our Krystal’s and say- They are either frozen burned or still frozen when they were trying to cook them. No onion on them and absolutely DISGUSTING. Chili Pup and Spicy Chicken were cold but cooked. Worst part about this, Tampa only has 1 Krystal burger location so we were so excited when we saw a Krystal burger next to the Hilton off 17 & 295. Only for it to be the WORST experience and disgusting Krystal burger. Absolutely awful.

The server was great. The Krystal burger was the worst thing I’ve ever eaten; however, the Chic sandwich and onion rings were good. The also had no shakes due to a broken ice cream machine. The ventilation was very poor with a strong smell of grease inside the restaurant.

Went here on 12/23/25. Ordered the 19.99 meal. When I got to the window, they wanted me to pay $30.00. When I asked why it was so much. I was told that the price went up. I told them that the menu states 19.99 and they need to honor that price. I was told that the price went up and they haven’t had the chance to change the menu. When I told them that they have to honor the price on the menu. He canceled the order and refused to serve us. I sent a message to the corp office and waiting for a response. I wish I could give them a zero star. Update: never heard from the Corp Office.

I am evaluating the Krystals in Orange Park Florida on highway 17. I grew up eating Krystals, and I absolutely love them, been eating them all my whole life. We typically go in the restaurant to eat and the staff is usually friendly however the seating area is never what I would call clean if you know what I mean. Good thing I always keep a pack of Clorox cleanups in my purse!

This restaurant is an embarrassment to the Krystal legacy. My last two visits have been total fiascos. On my last visit I sat at the drive thru window for 15 minutes waiting on a basic order of 6 Krystals and a large fry. I final blew my horn and asked for my money back. The “manager” came to the window and said I needed to be patient. On the previous visit which I considered to be a one off, I waited 20 minutes for the same order. Either the restaurant is terribly understaffed or has completely incompetent employees. I have been eating Krystal’s since 1955 in Macon, Ga. where one of my high school class mates was a store manager and later area quality control manager. Oh for the good old days where food quality and service meant something. Use to be service was on a stop watch from order completion to delivery at the window. Your brand is iconic, do something to give this location adequate staffing and management.

The food is not the issue, it’s always the customer service that is lacking! Not only that they never have change… is someone stealing the coins ?!
I appreciate how they adjusted my order after I incorrectly orders but there was no acknowledgment from the server if she would, so we just sitting there wondering if she is going to accommodate us or charge us… I just like for people in service to speak when spoken to especially when I speak to them respectfully !

I had 6 cheese, 6 chik with large fries. Pick up thru dinning. Quality of food preparation and presentation was horrible. Slider look like a pre-child put it together. Krystal chik 2 out of 6 chicken patty was dry and hard as a brick not chewable. Service was slow, look like they were short staffed. A reminder on why I stopped ordering from Krystal years ago. Things never change.
