Most importantly, I just had one of the best services I’ve ever received from a fast food joint. I work night shift, so when I get off work, I come to Krystal’s a lot because it’s one of the only places I can get lunch food in the mornings. I have been to several locations before that have lied to me and refused to cook me Krystals at 8am, which I do understand, because it’s more work. This location was happy to cook them for me, and let me know I would have to wait for them to cook, which I already knew, and so I said I would run outside and come back inside in a few minutes so I could smoke a cigarette while I waited for the food. Above all else, the man that was working brought my food outside to me, which was incredibly nice and unexpected. THEN as I get in my car with my food, I accidentally left my drink on top of my car and (can’t remember if it was the same person as before, or a different associate) a Krystal’s associate knocked on my window and handed me the drink I left on top of the car before I drove off and forgot it there!
Fabulous service, and it really made my morning. I wish I could put names on here, but I was a little preoccupied (CLEARLY LOL) and did not ask for any names – I’m so sorry – but it was around 8:30am on the morning after Valentine’s Day, 2/15/26, at the Fort Oglethorpe/Lafayette Rd. location, if that helps anyone out that works there. Thank you guys so much!! XD Very much appreciated.
The customer service was absolutely amazing — they were kind, patient, and made sure every customer felt acknowledged. Even more impressive, the food came out hot and fresh!
What really stood out to me was how the two coworkers encouraged each other throughout the night. You could tell it was a tough shift, but they stayed upbeat and supported one another the entire time. That kind of teamwork and work ethic deserves recognition.
Thank you both for your hard work — it did not go unnoticed!
But the moment I bit into one, I knew something was off. That familiar flavor hit the back of my mouth — not in a good way. It was the meat, and it tasted like it had been cooked on an old, unclean grill. That same unpleasant taste that happens when grease and buildup aren’t cleaned properly between cooks. Whatever seasoning used to make them great just isn’t there anymore.
To make things worse, I tried calling the restaurant four different times — each time it rang, someone picked up and immediately hung up. Since I live in another town, I wasn’t just going to drive all the way back there.
Honestly, it was disappointing from start to finish. The flavor that used to make Krystal unique is now the reason I couldn’t even finish the meal.
And honestly, I cannot express how sick I am of restaurants serving food out the window and then hiding inside, ignoring the phone when something goes wrong. I understand mistakes — everyone makes them — but choosing to pick up a back-to-back ringing business phone and hang up? That’s not a mistake. That’s knowing exactly what you’re doing. It shows they’re well aware of the garbage they’re handing out the window, right after taking people’s money.
At that point, it stops being bad service — it feels like fraud.
