This establishment was very welcoming and provided excellent service. As first-time visitors, we started with the Satay Chicken, which was so good we finished it before getting a photo. I ordered the combination Pad Thai, and my daughter chose the Hot Basil dish, both were well-seasoned, flavorful, and prepared perfectly.

We will definitely be returning. While parking was somewhat limited, the quality of the food and overall experience more than made up for it. Highly recommend giving this place a try.

In town for a business trip from NYC and wanted to give this place a try. Costumer Service 10 stars if i could. The lady who took my order was the nicest!!! For this reason alone i wanted to give them 5 stars but ughh the food was just ok.

I ordered the beef pad see ew and it barely had any flavors and a bit on the dry side. I also ordered almost at closing time so maybe that was it… which i can understand they might be tired and rushing to close etc…

But i would give them a try again next time im in time for costumer service alone

Hole-in-the-wall spot, but super clean and the service was on point.

The shrimp wrap with peanut sauce was legit — fresh, packed tight, and that sauce slapped. Rich, nutty, not too sweet. Solid flavor, solid texture.

The Pad See Ew held its own — wide noodles done right with a little char, balanced sweet-savory, not greasy, and a legit portion.

The Thai tea had strong flavor, smooth, and definitely not watered down.

Overall: no hype, no fluff — just really good food.

Small family owned restaurant with amazing food. Most of menu can be made gluten free. Service was great with one negative, we had to wait over half an hour after we were done eating because our waitress was dealing with pick up orders in between tables. So while I would definitely eat there again, I would ask for the check up front and pay immediately so I don’t have to wait too long after I’m done eating.

I stopped in today not feeling my best and ordered some soup — and honestly, it made me feel so much better. The food here is amazing, full of flavor, and clearly made with care.

What really stood out, though, was watching the team work together. You can see the pride they take in their craft and in supporting one another. It’s inspiring to see people thriving, growing, and putting their heart into what they do. That energy alone makes the experience special.

Krua Thai has earned a permanent spot on my list. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and a restaurant that truly embodies teamwork and passion.

Craving for Thai food while we’re in the Chula Vista area.
Penang Beef Curry – it’s rich, creaminess and just medium spicy level as we requested is so good.
Al dente veggies which is great. It could had been perfect if the sauce was thicker. 4/5
Shrimp Roll – freshly made vegetables/shrimp with two great choices of sauce. It was delicious.
5/5
Mixed Seafood Pad Thai – great combination of sourness and sweetness; its noodles is great. I wish there’s more sauce because any leftover/ to-go PadThai absorbs the sauce and becomes little dry. Also, squid is little rubbery/chewy. 3/5
Mango Sticky Rice – love the sweet gooey sticky rice with the coconut sauce but I guess it’s not really mango season. The mango is not the type of mango I was expecting or had from other Thai restaurants. 4/5
Great customers service! Would come again and try their different dishes. Few parking in front of restaurant; it’s mostly along the street.

Really good food. Flavors were on point here. The papaya was a little fishy tasting. The red curry was good too. We came here on Super Bowl Sunday weekend. There was a long line. They do not provided sit down dining so to go orders only. My order took about 30 minutes so it took a while to make.

Krua is our go to Thai food in the Southbay. Seriously, their flavor and authenticity can’t be beat. We’ve been happy customers for years. We love their noodle dishes like Pad Sew Ew and Pad Thai. They have amazing curries too. Our favorites are yellow, red, green and pineapple curry. My personal favorite is the Tom Kha. Krua reminds me exactly of the food we experienced in the markets during our travels in Thailand. A must.

This is a cute cozy place that we dined in at and I was pleasantly surprised by their food options! And guess what? They have gluten-free options!

I’m gluten intolerant so im always looking for places I can eat at! When I asked the server questions, she knew all the ingredients of each dish, making it really easy for me to order! She mentioned all the soups are gluten free, and many dishes use mushroom powder. I ate Tom Kha, which was absolutely delicious!!!!! And the Chicken Satay was good too! Both gluten free! The people that worked there were also very kind and made us laugh, very hospitable which made our experience even more sweet!
I highly recommend this place! I’m looking forward to coming back!

Pad See Ew (My go-to Thai favorite) was excellent! I had my tiny with me, so I requested way less than usual spice only at #1, but we both loved it. There’s also Sriracha at the tables to supplement. Our server was so nice talking with us and speaking so kindly to my daughter. I requested the taro milk tea, but they were out of Boba, so I will have to try next time. I was charged for it anyway, but she gave me one without Boba when I noted it. Parking may be limited, and the strip it’s in was a tad rough, but I’d definitely eat here again! There are only 3 tables, so you might end up taking yours to go.
