Made a reservation (2 months in advance) here for my anniversary dinner, and it did not disappoint! Our server was courteous and did a great job walking us through the menu. Highlights were the lobster tempura, mackerel and truffle nigiri, crab cakes, and the dark chocolate miso mouse dessert. Everything came out fresh, delicious, and promptly. They also offered us champagne on the house to celebrate our special night. 10/10 recommend next time you’re in the mood for something fancy!

I came here on a Wednesday night by myself for a 7 P.M. dinner. I was told it was going to be a 30 to 45 minute wait. And I had no choice since I took a taxi there. Luckily I believe I only waited about 10 to 15 minutes at most. I sat at the bar, which is comfortable since the chairs have a back. I ordered the organic Greens salad which I was not warned it was for three people. It was really delicious. I also ordered the spicy tuna, Hamachi and California Rolls. The Hamachi was my favorite followed by the California. The spicy tuna wasn’t great. Also, the California had a crab mix, which I was not used to. The food came out quickly. The bread looked really good but I was way too full to eat. Honestly, I finished 75% of my salad and only ate 2 of the rolls.

Kru never disappoints when it comes to quality and presentation! The sashimi is incredibly fresh, with each piece perfectly sliced and beautifully arranged — you can tell they take pride in every detail. The presentation is truly artful, making each dish look as good as it tastes.

We had the opportunity to dine in the private room. The staff was attentive without being intrusive, and the service was exceptional. The food was consistently high-quality and had a nice presentation. The personalized menu was a thoughtful touch that elevated the entire evening.

Great dining experience for dinner. Need a reservation and ours was late at 9 (place was still busy). Gyoza was excellent, crispy skin on one side was exceptional. Lobster tempura was the star. Pork belly and peaches was great. Rolls were fresh, great texture. Overall recommend

Make a reservation in advance. Nice business meet up location or social meet up at the bar. Food was yummy, but not a WHOA like everyone says. This is not a bad thing, I just think people talk it up too much (my personal opinion). Sushi had their own trust, but pricey for what was served.
The service and atmosphere was good. We asked the server for multiple recommendations on drinks and food, and she was RIGHT ON. I loved her knowledge of the menu and food suggestions. The atmosphere was a little loud so the server missed a couple things we asked for and we were placed at a table by the door so we couldn’t hear each other as well as we would’ve like, but we were there for a business meeting. The snickers bad dessert was amazing. We had a reservation so there wasn’t a wait.

Finally got a chance to check out Kru and I was not disappointed
Location/Ambiance: Located off Folsom and Alhambra Blvd is this trendy restaurant that shares a building with OBO’s. Walking up it can look unassuming from the street but once you get in you are introduced to a chill modern vibe. The placeis clean with nice mood lighting a great bar and awesome table tops to the kitchen. Being able to watch the Chef’s prepare the food is an awesome touch. While it was busy, the seating was well placed and the sound was not overbearing. For reference we visited on a Friday night around 9PM so it was BUSY!
Service: Our server was extremely knowledgeable and walked through the Nigiri as well as the special off menu items they had. Normally I have a general idea what to get but based on his recommendation we decided to try a bunch of new items.
Food: Theis place has an expensive drink menu and I think the food choices are great without being overwhelming. The Nigiri recommendations were on point and we really enjoyed the off menu Sturgeon Trio but all the Sushi was well prepared. I really enjoyed the the menu was simple and not too overbearing with options. They have a WIDE drink selection that is categorized by flavor profile and I really enjoyed and wish more restaurants would do this!
Definitely worth checking out but make sure you make a reservation!

Amazing dinner spent at Kru! The food was super delicious and tasted very fresh. One of the best dining experiences here in Sacramento. One of the best things was our server Vanessa. They went above and beyond to make sure we had the best dining experience possible, grateful to feel so welcomed paired with an overall awesome dinner experience 🙂 Highly recommend and their Mango Cheesecake is a must!

We came here first time with our toddler for a night out. Excellent customer service, our server was one of the most important reason why we rated 4 starts.
Now let’s talk about the food, lobster roll and rainbow roll, super delicious, fresh fish and nice presentation. However the duck was dry like a duck jerky, all skins are dry, worst duck I ever had for that price. Pork belly super salty and over cooked, that’s actually the worst dish for tonight. We couldn’t finish it was that bad.
If we only rating the fish dinning experience this is a five stars; however for the duck and pork this would be two stars
