Small family-friendly spot on the main road in Akron. We had a huge group and the orders were all taken without any errors being made. Most of the space is taken up by the dining area but the bar has enough space to accommodate about a dozen people. The tenderloin was good. I’ve had better but the massive size more than made up for any deficiencies. Staff was cheerful. If you’re looking for a cozy dinner spot with no frills, this place is it.

The food was good and hot. The catfish was definitely better than the blue gill if you are wondering which to order. I just felt like the owner could work on her manners with customers. There is a polite way to explain things. Our server Madison was very sweet.

This place is a hidden gem. I ordered a burger and my wife ordered a steak. The steak was cooked absolutely perfectly and the seasoning was out of this world. The burger was phenomenal and the service was excellent. We will definitely be coming back when we are in the area again.

The staff could be more attentive to the customers, not once did they offer us a refill on our drinks and our cups sat empty for quite some time until we were ready to leave.
My brother in law ordered the all you can eat fish dinner and didn’t come to offer him a refill until he had to flag her down to say something. She then rudely said he ordered the fish dinner; when that was never specifically mentioned he asked about the specials on the board before saying fish.
She rudely started arguing about what was said.
I wanted to give it a better rating but the service just sucked here. I’m seeing that that’s the trend here based on other reviews. The food was good but not good enough for me to return if your staff can’t treat a paying customer with respect.
Update: the owner came to talk to us all and made it right by us. Thank you for your attention on this. I can tell you as the owner really care about your business. Just try to train your wait staff better.

We randomly stumbled upon this restaurant and thought we’d give it a try… The Nachos appetizer was delicious and the Pork Tenderloin sandwich was absolutely amazing! And the onion rings were huge! The breading was flavorful and the perfect amount of breading/pork. The owner served us and gave wonderful service. We will definitely be back! Check it out.. You won’t be disappointed!

I’ve always wanted to stop in here and today we made the trip. Upon walking in the door, we were promptly greeted with a smile and hospitality from the owner, herself. The drink selection leaves nothing more to be desired and the food is OUT OF THIS WORLD delicious!!
No matter where you live in the Hoosier state, Kristy’s is definitely worth the drive!
