The food tasted like they cooked the chicken at noon and served it all day. The fries were good because they were fresh, but the mashed potatoes and gravy tasted like they were instant and had very little flavor. The chicken may have been good at noon but spending all day precooked under a heat lamp dried it out and overcooked it by the time I got there. All of that being said, the biggest complaint I had was that they didn’t have the heat turned up at all and I had to dine in and eat dinner while wearing a coat because it was too cold inside to take it off. It was cold out, 11 degrees or so in January but having heat should be a requirement to run a restaurant. Never going back.

Normally, I might choose to offer one less star in consideration of lack of comfortable seating and decor. However, when you go to a restaurant which was formerly a Sonic you should take this in stride. The chicken, as well as the family that operate Krispy’s make up the difference. The cost for what you get is unmatched anywhere else! I much prefer there mildly seasoned, perfectly crispy, chicken to any over salty, too greasy, choice I could receive at other restaurants. You might have to ask they reheat the rolls, but they are a good flavor of sweet dinner roll.

Food is fine and prices are too. White meat chicken was moist and cooked for us when we ordered. Everything needs salt. Okra was bland, chicken skin was crispy but bland, and French fries were greasy and bland. Mostly, I would add a star if they spent a day and just a few bucks cleaning. Sheetrock Walls are tore up and dirty and need patches and paint. Old interior doors are grimy and marred and marked up and the overall impression is that you were supposed to order “To Go”! No condiments on tables, no salt or pepper shakers, (only to go packets) and floor is just old. Nothing made me scared of the food quality or safety, it is just a bit wore out on the inside. Curious menu covers chicken to chicken and waffles, to Po Boys to State Fair recreations. Did not try any seafood. I will go back, just not regularly.

First time here. Had the 3 piece chicken strips and 1 fish. Chicken had a nice golden flour based crunchy crust. Fish had a cornmeal breading also with a great crunch. Everything was well cooked and the chicken was tender and juicy inside. However, to my palette, it seemed both offerings were completely devoid of seasoning. To make matters worse, ketchup, salt and pepper were the only condiments available. Would’ve liked to seen some lemon juice, malt vinegar and/or hot sauce. Very disappointed they did not offer coleslaw as a side. Instead I had the green beans which were equally bland.
As I dined I heard several people order the chicken and waffles. Friends are insisting that’s what I should have ordered. And that the chicken breast is the cut to go for claiming there may be some honey in the batter.
So, for my first time…it was just okay. I’ll visit again and try some of the “you shoulda had” recommendations and update the review if it warrants it.

Their chicken tenders and waffles are my favorites at Krispy’s! If you haven’t had them, you’re missing out! Service is always friendly and they’re quick to have your order ready!

Omg. I love This place. I always go there when I need to satisfy my craving for vitamin G. However make sure if you order fries that you order them separately. Otherwise they will put your fried food on top of the french fries and make the french fries disgustingly saturated with grease from the fried food

Had the chicken & waffles.
The chicken strips were great and all, but let me tell you about this waffle…
This waffle kicked dirt in IHOP’s face. This waffle locked up Waffle House and threw the key away. This waffle pushed Cracker Barrel down a hill and into the river.
Maybe I was just really hungry, but this chicken & waffle experience was simply awesome. 10/10 would eat again.

The best chicken n waffles ever! $10 gets you a 3 piece and waffle with a large order of corn nuggets. Its not healthy, but its a great treat every once in a while.
