I tried it for the first time and went to a gas station with a Krispy Krunchy Chicken inside. I ordered chicken sandwich, 2 piece fried chicken and chicken strips. Sides were red beans and rice, jambalaya and Mac n Cheese. The chicken was presentable, but a little overcooked and rubbery. The chicken sandwich was a spicy taste, but didn’t live up to the Krispy Krunchy-ness as advertised. The red beans and rice was fantastic as was the honey butter glazed biscuits. The jambalaya is more a dirty rice while you can’t mess up Mac n Cheese. Overall I got what I expected from gas station food. Definitely room for improvement!

I really loved their chicken. But this place was such a disappointment. The french fries were just broken pieces and the chicken portions of the thighs were so small. They were dried out and overcooked. Very sad I used to love this place

Yes, this place is inside a Chevron store. I’ve had Kristy Krunchy Chicken twice now. It’s pretty good. This time, I found a deal that I liked: 8 pieces of chicken for $13.29. I believe the last time I got 4 pieces and a biscuit for $9.99.
As soon as I got home, I devoured two pieces. They were crunchy, juicy and a bit spicy. Last time with the 4 pieces, I felt the chicken was a little dry, but perhaps this time it didn’t sit out for too long. It made a big difference. They have more than 4 sauces, but I only asked for sweet & sour and barbecue. The sauces were not bad, but they tasted very similar. I hope it wasn’t due to the high fructose corn syrup, but oh well. Yeah, I’ll go back again.

Very nice and happy service…. I don’t get to stop by that often but I remember the last few times I did I was very impressed by the good energy and respect that I felt shopping at this location. The food is amazing and the staff is amazing also. The cashier lovepreet was amazing he ran down all the promotions and if you have a phone number on file you can get discounts on food and gas etc. Offered me free Fuji water and everything they had to offer…. This is one of the happiest gas stations in San Ramon. Don’t take my word for it, go see for yourself. There’s a little old Chinese woman that works there she is sweet as pie.
