Fire, closed temporarily? Time for a self-funded remodel and facelift? It is pretty bad when the gas station chicken down the street, beats Krispies Fried Chicken. Chicken tastes like dirty grease.

This place is great! Old school, plain fried chicken and sides. The chicken was cooked perfectly – juicy and not too oily. The breading was crisp and not too thick. The onion rings were good and the fried liver and gizzards were good. Only gripe is that the chicken is very plain. They serve a hot ketchup with the chicken that is bomb. They have bottles of Faygo for sale.

I stopped eating at this place back in 2009. Back then I worked the night shift. And I was catching the bus to work. It was winter time and there is a bus stop right outside of their business.
It was 30 minutes before they were going to close. And approximately 30 minutes before my bus was to arrive. Since it was cold outside, I figured I would order some wings. I could wait inside in the warmth and eat while waiting for my bus.
I ordered the last few wings that they had. I sat down facing the window. They immediately proceeded to close for the day. They informed me that they were closed and that I had to leave. I said no, I ordered my food and I am gonna sit here and eat. Well they started turning off all of the lights, locking doors, and the entire family came out and told me that they were closed. They refused to give me a refund and I left and waited outside for my bus.
I said that I would never eat there again and I haven’t. The entire community needs to stop eating there so that they can go out of business. I am rarely on that side of town anymore. But I am disgusted to see that they are still in business.

I really don’t care for where they’re located, but it’s worth the drive if you really want it. Unfortunately the chicken has gotten very, very small and the price seems to steadily increase every time I go. They do still, however, have one of the better deals in the city where you can get 10 wings for $16.99. Surely OK because of convenience of not having to cook because again they’re very small and the price does not equate for the portion that you get. Overall, the chicken as well, flavored and cooked through and through.

It was empty when I went in and ordered. I ordered 6 meals and the order was taken quickly and the food was done fast and everything correct. The workers were nice but it did get just a little crowded while waiting but all in all great.

Space is definitely small and not great flow when it gets busy – as mentioned in previous comments. However, the food and service are great! Fried chicken is very good, not sure how they get it to stay so crispy and fresh but I’ll take it. They also have mambo sauce, spicy ketchup, and hot sauce that go great with potatoes.

After asking repeatedly if all of my order was packed, I get home only to find out macaroni salad was missing! Now they won’t answer the phone. I’ve been calling since 6:00, they close at 7! Put my name or something on a list, I don’t like paying for anything I don’t receive!

They have really good chicken sandwiches, potato wedges, sweet tea, lemonade, and chicken livers. They are always very respectful and professional as far as customer service goes and I have never had a problem with them or their food so I recommend people who like the things I listed to give them a try if you have not. There is only one inconvenience! If you have a very big vehicle it is best to park in the back of the restaurant because their parking lot is very small, even if you have a regular size vehicle you can barely fit in the parking lot when they are packed so most of the time I park in the back rather I’m driving a small or big vehicle to be on the safe side.
