Service was friendly and very helpful and accommodating. We had fish tacos and 2 orders of pickerel and chips. We choose sweet chili and the topping for the fish tacos and they were very good! Loved the fish tacos. The pickerel fish, we choose battered. It was good. We enjoyed it – flaky, crunchy, tasty but a little greasy. The tartar sauce was very mid. Coleslaw was good, crisp veggies, maybe a little too vinegary. The chips were ok – not very crispy, kinda soggy and greasy. They would probably be very good as leftovers where they get pan fried and home the next day. I would recommend Kris’ Fish & Chips. Good place for a meal.

Loved the fish here! I’m a big fan of seafood, and this place really delivered. The local fish was fresh and delicious. The atmosphere was cozy and with a super cool wall full of paper money from around the world. Staff were really friendly too. Definitely a great spot if you visit Gimli.

I had a good experience at Kris’ Fish & Chips. The fish was nicely cooked and the portion size was generous. The fries could have been a bit crisper, but overall, the meal was satisfying. The wall decorated with international currency! Service was decent, though not particularly memorable. Would consider coming back for another round!

Stumbled on this place on the way back from our cabin trip. Our haddock was good but the fries and onion rings were way too oily and you could taste the oil wasn’t changed for a while. Also, I don’t understand the concept of piling on 500g of fries on a single dish. Way too much even for two people.
Waters weren’t refilled, didn’t feel welcomed overall.
Cute interior though.

Place reopened after Rebuilding/fire. Long wait for meals. Halibut is no longer Available but on the list. I do like that the food comes when ready but better timing on group orders is needed in the kitchen. One person was half finished by the time the other orders came out. Light batter on fish could have been cooked a touch longer. The last 3/4 of the second pieces the batter started to get soggy and fall off. Fries were good homemade. Again cooked but could use the extra time. These are the type that are good salt and vinegar style chips. Small container of tartar sauce. 8 oz/ 2 pieces should come with two sauces. No salad was available so we had coleslaw’s creamy and decent, add a Little pepper! Gravy was ok. The special Fish chips and beers a good deal. Two thinner strips in picture! Next time I’m asking if they can do it a little extra crispy. Staff was nice. Just long wait time. Hopefully they get better by summer!

I can’t say I was satisfied with the meal. The fish was decent, but the fries were overly oily and dry.
We waited over 30 minutes for our food to arrive, and no water or cups were offered.
A fly kept bothering us, which makes me question the overall cleanliness.
The staff weren’t particularly welcoming either

Cute little diner. Clean and very busy. The pickerel was very good and large amount and delicious fries. In addition their raspberry milkshake was excellent .
The person at the counter inside took our order of 1 pickerel meal that included fries and a milkshake. They barely smiled. (None of the workers smiled). She asked us if we wanted our milkshake before or with the meal. We took it before. We waited 45 minutes for our meal. I did see a sign that they are hiring. I get that but all it would have took when we were ordering is if they told us that it would be over a 30 minute wait.

it was really busy though and there was a long wait time, so i get that mistakes happen. but the service at the front could’ve been better, felt a little rushed and not super attentive. all in all, the food was great, but the experience could’ve been smoother
