Wow. Stopped in after spending the day at Liberty State Park. Sooooo Glad we did. Started with a Lime mocktail I asked not to
Make it sweet and it was PERFECT! I ordered the Shrimp etouffee which was probably the best etouffee that I’ve had. Bursting with delicate flavor. I ordered the grits instead of rice and they were fantastic. My girlfriend ordered the seafood gumbo and also loved it. She is a very light eater but devoured this dish!!! For dessert we shared a bread pudding with pecan sauce. OMG another winner. Sweet yet not too sweet. Even though it’s almost an hour travel time. I will return. Highly recommend this place!!!

⭐️4.5 RATING—We love this local spot. We’ve eaten here a couple of times and ordered to go a couple of times as well.

Our last dine-in visit recently (on a Friday afternoon) was damn near perfect. The gentlemen at the bar/serving was friendly, attentive, and everything we ordered HIT! We were also the only diners which I personally love.

The only reason I gave it 4 stars (really it’s a 4.5) is sometimes there’s an odd smell in the space and it was randomly freezing at one point. But the service and food is top tier. ❤️‍

I was not a fan of the food at all. The collards were 60% onions and stem, they had an extremely strong vinegar taste. The seafood gumbo was extremely gritty and brittle as if they burned the roux. I paid for the food I didn’t eat with little to know apology, fix or questions from the one front of house person. If you’re looking for authentic New Orleans taste try somewhere else.

Food: 2 1/2-3 Stars
Service: 0-1

Went there today due to great reviews. Was hard to find parking but we were fortunate and found something close. It is a cozy spot, quaintly decorated. Went around dinner time.

Food: Ordered lentil soup, corn bread, fried grits, shrimp étouffée. The fried grits was great. The cornbread a bit bland and dry. Both entrees wasn’t bad, just ok. Was just under seasoned. Tasted better after WE added salt, pepper and butter (from cornbread order).

Service: it was non-existent. Waiter did not introduce himself (found out name was Claude from receipt). Barely greeted us. After bringing order did not speak to us again until we were finished and he asked were we done so that he could get our dishes. Did not ask if we needed anything or how we were enjoying our meal. Nothing. This lack of service was surprising to say the least..

All in all a disappointing experience especially since we had such high expectations.

The jambalaya was the best I have had in a long time. it had the right amount of spice and had a very exquisite and traditional flavor. I was pleasently speechless.. I highly recommend it. My complements to the chef.

I recently visited Krewe in New York and really enjoyed the Southern-inspired flavors. The menu features classic Cajun and Creole dishes that are bold, comforting, and full of spice. The atmosphere felt relaxed and lively, making it a great place to enjoy a casual meal with friends. The staff were welcoming and attentive, which made the experience even better. Overall, it’s a great spot if you’re craving authentic Southern comfort food in the city.

Very cool, cozy spot that is located in JC that has a nice ambience to it. My partner and I stopped by for brunch and the shrimp po boy was the highlight of our meal. It was seasoned well and had pretty good portion size for the price. The staff is super friendly and patient. The cornbread was a little underwhelming compared to everything else but would definitely recommend and go again since it highlights some Louisiana flavors and energy throughout the restaurant.

Took my Dad out for his birthday. Truly didn’t know what to expect. After realizing parking would be a concern, called the restaurant and they were so understanding and let me know my table was still reserved. The ambiance matched New Orleans and the menu was everything! Enjoyed everything, from the charbroiled oysters down to the beignets and mocktail. The salmon was perfect! I’ll definitely be back.

Food was really good. Being first timers to New Orleans cuisine, our family of 3 was highly impressed with the taste of all the dishes we ordered. We are tourists from Singapore and are very glad that we found this place! If we can, we want to be back again! Only thing I wished for is, the place to be more brightly lit so we could see the food clearly!

The Creole Jambalaya was delicious! This plate did not disappoint, and the service was very friendly. It was my first time trying it out and I’d definitely come back to try another plate. Dope little spot with some cool vibes. Don’t hesitate to check this one out!
