This was our second time here. Erica was our server and did a great job. We came back [2 hr drive] for the pork chops. Though they weren’t as tender and juicy as our first visit, they were still tasty and we enjoyed our meals. It’s an amazing property inside and out with cool relics, a river view, and tons of outdoor seating on the deck near the stage and outdoor bars.

This is quite an eccentric place that is extremely quirky and a joy to take in visually. It’s such a nice change of pace to find somewhere that’s not afraid to go with a theme and make an experience out of dining there. Corporate smothering of character is so abundant now in chains that everything looks the same and feels the same. To find a smaller place that is so decorated and individual is just nice in of itself.

The food, frankly, on my two visits has not been bad by any means but was not crazy impressed. The environment and service will keep me coming back to try other things and see if there is something else I enjoy. I’ve had a Reuben, which was a good value but was very VERY soggy and messy. Not a pleasure to eat wet bread and oozing thousand covering everything. Yes, Reubens can be made much nicer and neater than that. Didn’t taste bad but wasn’t a great eating experience. I’ve tried the chicken sandwich which yet again… Sloppy and very very greasy. It did taste good again but nothing mind blowing on flavor both times. Just decent. Kind of bar-food. Potatoes cake was pretty nice. Did enjoy that. Fries are quite good. Crispy onions were kind of flavorless. Mac and Cheese was honestly pretty bad, I actually didn’t eat it. That’s the only thing I straight up didn’t like at all.

Was intrigued by the fact that a German “bierhaus” themed place had… Like, no German beers? They didn’t even have an alcohol menu… That was truly odd. Would’ve liked a weissbier or hefeweizen or something…

Will continue to return to try and find something I am impressed by for now.

Service has been good both times thus far. We did however visit on slow days both times (Mon/Tues).

Went for a lunch with the family and had some German heritage food and beer. We were able to sit outside in a covered area on a beautiful weather day and watched the river flow by. I had the mett and kraut, and the link was falling off the plate huge. Potato pancake was ok, but the meat and kraut were awesome. The schnitzel is served with their schwine sauce, which was a brown gravy with a vinegar tang to it. Reuben was done well and very good, exactly what you are looking for in a Reuben. For sides, the brussel sprouts were good, apples were better, and green beans were best.

My wife and I have been here twice, and enjoyed both visits immensely. Today’s ham and Swiss on a Pretzel bun was three ingredients prepared exceptionally well. Cindy greatly enjoyed her hot slaw, pork chops and scalloped apples. We like it a lot and think you should also.

One of my top 5 restaurants. Great atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff. Beautiful restaurant. They have military themed party rooms.
And of course the food is amazing. Don’t forget to try the hot slaw ! Yummy!

This place is wonderful! Great food and GINORMOUS proportions at very reasonable prices. Our server Amy, was quick and super polite, our drinks never even came close to going empty. The best German food we’ve ever had and will definitely be back.

The atmosphere can’t be beat!! Thanks!

Great food. Great service. Cozy atmosphere.
The chef is very skillful – my wife and I requested well done steaks. Our ribeye steaks were done “well” AND tender AND juicy AND full of great flavor. Side dishes and appetizer were delicious as well. We managed to get in on a busy holiday in Bout 15 minutes. Staff/crew were wonderful. Compliments to all.

Our first time here as we were passing through and it was a great place to stop. Our server, Naiya, was very pleasant and professional. My Bourbon Chicken Salad was delicious! Our only concern/disappointment was that the other meal “came” with 2 sides, but the bill showed them charged separately.
Very nice atmosphere.

It was delicious, I had gotten the sauerkraut balls and the Reuben. The portion sizes are incredible and the staff is super friendly, only downside is the 2 hour time limit with the food taking almost an hour to arrive at our table. Our server Julie was super sweet and was incredible!
