I have to stop here every time I visit Rhinebeck! When you walk into the store, the first thing you will notice is the most divine aroma of chocolate. The staff is very helpful and friendly, and their chocolates are top notch. Try the strawberry cream, it’s a great bite. They also have a great assortment of bagged chocolate-dipped varieties. I love to bring home a box of chocolates, but also get a small bag with a few pieces to nibble on in the car ride home. Top notch quality and consistency.

This is, in my opinion, the greatest chocolatier in all of America. Their assortment is wonderful. The chocolate is absolutely delicious. My family has been going to this shop for 30+ years.
Every time we go, we always have to pick up fruit slices to mail to my sister across the country.
And not only arr their regular milk and dark chocolate wonderful, but recently I have had to switch to sugar-free chocolate and their sugar-free milk chocolate pretzel pieces are the best I have ever found.
We have also used their custom orders as party favors for multiple weddings and engagement parties throughout the years. They are been reasonable and delicious.

Krause Chocolates has been around forever. That in itself shows they can stand the test of time. In the decades we’ve been in the area, we have used them many times for gifts and for treats for ourselves. Every single time a thoughtful and beautiful treat had been delivered to us. Never a problem ….orders ready on time..always polite exchanges with employees ….no excuses. Highly Recommended.

Wonderful, family-owned and operated chocolate shop. Smells amazing from the moment you open the door. Heaps of individual truffles and chocolates for sale, along with pre-bagged and pre-priced options. I’m a vegan so their Extra-Dark items are my only options, but even within that category they’ve got several barks, chocolate covered blueberries, and simple bars. I love taking my daughter here for a treat and always walk away with gifts for people.

Hands down best chocolate in town! We were visiting Saugreties for Thanksgiving weekend and walked around town and found this hidden gem away from the mainline shops. We walked into chocolate heaven and the staff was very welcoming and eager to share recommendations according to taste preferences. The prices were incredible for a lb box of chocolates and bags of other assorted goodies we picked up. Highly recommend their dark chocolate we picked up butterscotch, crispies, marzapan, graham cracker, orange peels, peanut butter, and caramelmallows all very delicious. I enjoyed the malt balls very thick and crisp. Highly recommend this cute shop for sweet treats to take home and enjoy you can’t go wrong had a wonderful experience.

Krause’s Chocolates was one of the first businesses I visited when I moved to Saugerties last July and to be honest I’ve been back here more times than I dare to admit… whenever I go, I grab the 1 pound box and ask for it to be filled with all of my favorites. There are several sizes of boxes to choose from, as well as a wide variety of prepackaged goodies! When choosing how to fill your box, I especially like the fact that each type of chocolate is offered in both milk chocolate and dark chocolate varieties… and there are so many delicious flavors to choose from! Krause’s is a must visit, for anyone who comes to Saugerties, NY!

Krause’s Chocolates are the absolute best! From their chocolate covered nuts to the delectable peanut butter meltaways and caramels, every piece is a tasty work of art. I have frequented both the Saugerties and Rhinebeck locations for years. Everything at the Saugerties location is so fresh. I have purchased sugar free dark chocolate for a relative and she says it is the most delicious she has ever tasted.
