A Taste of Poland in Woonsocket: Krakow Deli Bakery Smokehouse
Reviews
I recently started following this family business and the dad posted this picture of the sandwich of the day on Monday, being a Polish Reuben. My mouth started to salivate and planned to take the 17 minute trip to pickup two of these bad boys. The main difference with these is they used incredible white, sliced, Polish Kielbasa. What a nice variation. And the large, which can easily feed 2 was $14ish.
Not only do they have an amazing sandwich, and insanely huge for the $14 each one cost, they have an amazing deli and Polish store. I wanted Sauerkraut, and got a real Polish jar of it. They also have breads and patries and just about everything you would want that is different from any store around.
The mom and daughter I met, were SO nice. The daughter is fluent in English. Mom is good with English but that what makes her authentic and so happy I finally went. Next time I go, I hope to post the picture of the sandwich menu and keep a picture handy, so I can have it handy because I will be back and hopefully more often than I plan.
The picture of the massive sandwich that fills the Styrofoam box, is only half of the “Large” sandwich. And it was SO freaking good.
I was very impressed with the welcoming atmosphere, the wide range of Polish/Slavic foods. Their deli board was very impressive and I was tempted by their home made cheesecake.
Overall, a worthwhile visit. Next time I will bring our guest to decipher some of the names.
We dined in; it’s mostly a store but they have two large tables and two great couches!
We ordered their #18 which is pierogis, golabek and a croquette served with fresh bread. Amazing. Everything was delicious. I cannot wait to come back and order this again when I’m not full anymore lol
It’s mostly a store and every other customer who came in only did groceries, to-go and take out. We ordered a potato salad and tomato gravy to go after because it was so good.
The Gołąbki was amazing with tomato gravy.
This could be such an adorable place to enjoy a tea and relax with a Polish news paper if they played low music.
They have cooking classes to learn how to make fresh pierogi and a great Polish deli with ready made soups.
It is very casual because it is like a deli but I would 1000% just come here to hang out on their couches still with this amazing food.
