Nice place by the beach, pretty good food. They serve seafood by half the portion which is cool, you can try more dishes and pay less. We had all the dishes from “from the sea to your table” menu section. Prawns were best, rosada second, everything else ok, but deep fried, so after 3 dish I felt a bit heavy. That’s one star less for the food. Service very good (but poor english), dishes served fast and hot. What I disliked is the inside of the restaurant. Part of it was a storage, tables were high and uncomfortable, music too loud. Overall nice place with pretty good food for a very good price. The meal was more than sufficient and with the beers we paid less than 40€. The wifi was there.

We ordered 2 gazpachos for 3,5 EUR each, prawns (gambas pilpil) for 7,50 EUR and 1 fish rosada plancha for 10,50 EUR. On top, we got some free bread. We got a bill with a service charge in total 27 EUR for 2 people. The portion was good for a light lunch for 2.
(+) The food was very good.
(+) We were served very fast
(+) The waiter spoke some English (eg. I wanted to order an octopus salad and I asked if this is ok for pregnant women, but the answer was no, because octopus is just marinaded).
(+) Tables are almost on the beach, nice view of the sea
On the minus side, gazpacho consists 25-33% of an ice cube as per picture and our bill was charged an extra drink which we didn’t order (but it was corrected after our remark).

For the first experience here in Malaga we sat in the restaurant kraken and watched the sea while eating. This was a very good start for our vacation, which also was complemented by the food. I had the patatas bravas and the tostillas negra, it tasted very good. The language barrier was there but it was nothing to be afraid. With some spanish u can come here and eat out. The menu also is in English online if u want.
Would recommend and eat out again.

Absolutely muy fabuloso! The food is sooo delicious, the staff is so attentive and nice and I think we had the best patatas bravas ever! The salmon with a twist was also soo good as well as the Pipirrana Kraken. The wine was great too. We will definitely eat there again! Thank you!! ❤️

The place is amazing. Only one person spoke english, but the communication was so easy, and everyone was so nice and apologetic. The food was absolutely ASTOUNDING! Everything was SOOO good, I can’t even begin to explain. We were there 4 days ago, and since we’ve left, we can’t stop craving the food. Definitely a must visit, if near the area.

First lunch in Malaga. The location is basically on the sand, good portion and chance to have 1/2 portions to try out different things for an affordable price. 1 Caesar salad extremely salty (chicken was good tho), portion of Croquettes – nothing special, fried squid, dogfish and sardines were good! 5 glasses of sangria for about €55.
Pro tip, ask for only 1 block of ice in the sangria

El Palo is Málaga’s hidden jewel and Kraken only adds to it’s brilliance. I ordered a wine and a Russian salad. The food was great and the presentation flawless. As a bonus, if I were any closer to the sea, I would have had sand in my wine and been sopping wet.
