I had Drew as a server he was so helpful, competent, kind, and attentive. He was a great server and the food was fantastic. This was my first experience was Korean food and hot pot and changed my life in the best way.

Overall: Not good, 1.5 stars. Left disappointed and hungry.

Good: Host was nice, and server was fine. Bathroom was okay.

Bad:

Not vented properly. Another table burned their food 15 mins after being seated, and we had to smell it for the rest of our meal

We got 2 items that we didn’t order, portions were too big or too small — Pitifully small portions of noodles and an oddly large portion of tripe (about a cup).

Server didn’t know which items were which. Frustrating, but understandable, given the people employed are probably underpaid and overworked with large menu options.

The food is not great. “Vegetable tempura” (pictured) is more like cold fried tofu with tiny bits of random veggies. Not bad, but not as advertised.

Never been to a Korean place where I didn’t at like the kimchi. Overly sweet and bland. The cucumber salad is cut wrong — they’re supposed to be thinly sliced. Also seasoned more like Japanese cucumber salad, but with too much sesame oil.

However, it’s the food safety issues that’s the most alarming. Cooked and raw meats together, bamboo reeking of fish (probably a storage issue).

Pricey for kids. And when food start to come slower after the 1st hour. Almost like they are trying to food control the amount of food we can eat. It’s 2 hour limit and our last 3 plates of meat that we put in 15min before time up never came.
Umi shabu shabu only offered hotpot and ordered by the server but the server is very responsive and quick to serve up the food compared to kpot. Not to mentioned cheaper.

Arrived early unaware of the policy to seat only complete parties to start their 2:00 hours and used a discreet moment to notify the hostess with a penchant for repeating themselves that we were celebrating my wife’s birthday. They mentioned that the birthday girls meal would be free and the staff would bring her a cheesecake. I confirmed this would be great and asked if I needed to do anything else, nope great.

After convincing all 10 of our party to do the combo we realized the soup/bbq would double our cook time over the 2 hour limit so we got busy enjoying all sorts of high quality foods/meats and veggies some we recognized and some we didn’t. We got busy enjoying hot pots and grills all clean and functional but got lost when the staff started dropping items no one had ordered and missing items the group had ordered. We finally got enough cooked and eaten to enjoy some conversation and I asked about separating the checks into the couples. They were accommodating here, I paid and then remembered the birthday promise and cheesecake singing far too late as many in our party had jacketed up and headed out, I think the noisey dinning floor got them ready to scoot. Other than a birthday snaffu our meal was fun if confusing 1st experience. Though the staff seems to really struggle to communicate the restaurant concept despite repeating themselves MANY times about certain elements. Some elements went unaddressed with many options arriving, no labels, explanations or responses from staff when asked what food they were dropping. One waiter said “that’s either lamb or beef” a big shift for Idaho pallets. Photo is of my lovely wife enjoying supper without the birthday promises.

This KBBQ/Hot Pot place was absolutely amazing from the moment we walked in. The quality of the meats, the variety of sides, and the rich, flavorful broths made the entire experience so fun and satisfying. Everything was fresh and cooked perfectly. What really set the night apart was our server, Lindsay. She was incredibly friendly, patient, and helpful—especially with explaining how everything worked and checking in to make sure our grill and hot pot were just right. Lindsay was attentive without rushing us and made sure we always had what we needed. Her great attitude and excellent service made the experience even better. We can’t wait to come back and would love to be seated with Lindsay again!

Really great experience! I loved the flavors and the unlimited food options. The food was a good amount. I did the soup and grill. The option to try different things was pretty cool! Clean bathroom! The price was fair. I would eat here again. Good customer service! My waitress was very knowledgeable, kind and fast.

I’ve eaten here a handful of times and it’s always been very nice. However, the beef meatballs get worse and worse every time I come back. As you can see, they are full of cartilage and veins. You can pop it out like a giant zit and it is very off-putting. My wife says it’s something those of Asian backgrounds like in their meatballs; me, I think K-Pot is skimping out on quality for financial gain. You decide.

Had a fun time with a large group! This isn’t an in and out dinner, anticipate 2 hours seated. You order broth, meats, veggies, etc. and cook them at your table. Lots of sauce options for all tastes. All you can eat ensures nobody leaves hungry. It can be overwhelming your first time, so be sure to ask your server what’s popular or bring someone who’s been there before. After your first round of plates you’ll be more confident and ready to try everything. Definitely recommend for a fun and unique experience. All you can eat, gratuity, and a soda will run you about $50 at dinner time per person.
