My family and I came out on Wednesday night to celebrate my birthday. We were pleased it was not very crowded and sat right away. Our waitress was very nice and helpful when explaining the process to us. Just an FYI- you are charged extra for any uncooked meat that you order but do not eat. With this in mind, we ordered a reasonable amount that we knew we could finish. The quality of meat was excellent. Everything tasted great. My only complaint is there were not many side dishes to choose from. She offered us rice but the vegetable options were lacking to me. We will be back for sure.

Our overall experience was great until the end when she brought us our check. We went for lunch the day after Christmas. The menu states $20.99 per person for lunch from 12:00-4:00. We arrived around 1:00. When she brought us the check we were charged the dinner price. When we pointed this out to our waitress, she stated it was due to the holiday. That wasn’t brought to our attention prior to us ordering or even bringing the check. There wasn’t anything posted about the prices being more, nor did anyone mention it when we arrived. It would not have altered our decision to stay and enjoy the experience. However, it will alter the decision to return. We weren’t there on a holiday. It was the day after a holiday. It should have been brought to our attention before we ordered. It was bad business practice and false advertising. It’s a shame. We had a great experience, the food was great, but don’t wait until you bring my check to tell me I’m paying $10 more per person than what you have advertised on the menu.

We had an amazing time here! Definitely got our fill of KBBQ. We ate more than we realized. Ethan L. was our server, and the entire time we were there, he was so attentive and accommodating. He always checked in on us to ensure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend the beef belly, hanger steak, and pork belly!

This was my first experience with hotpot! It was such a good experience made great by our waitress, Tay, who was super attentive and explained everything in detail. The food was so flavorful and delicious. I will definitely be going again and trying the new things I’ve been missing!

Our first experience at KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot was nothing short of incredible. We came in with two kids under three years old so we knew it might be a bit of a challenge, but the entire team went above and beyond from the very start. While we were waiting, they could clearly see we were struggling a bit in line and made every effort to get us seated as soon as possible. That alone meant more to us than they probably realized.

Once we were seated, the hospitality only got better. The owner stopped by multiple times and was genuinely kind and welcoming. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly and attentive, and our server made our first time experience effortless. He patiently walked us through how to order, how the cooking works, and made sure we felt comfortable the entire time.

The food itself was amazing. Fresh, flavorful, and such a fun experience. We already know we will be back very soon. Probably without the kids next time so we can really take our time and fully enjoy everything, but we would absolutely bring them again knowing how accommodating and thoughtful the staff is.

If you are on the fence about trying KPOT, do it. You will not be disappointed.

We came to Kpot with high expectations, but the dining experience was really disappointing, especially for a hotpot buffet. One of the biggest issues was the meat service. We ordered multiple portions of meat — for example, three orders — yet we were only given three slices total, which felt almost like a joke. Even when we ordered plenty in advance, the restaurant sometimes served meat that was clearly not fresh, just to fill the order.

The speed of service was also extremely slow, and the portions did not match the menu or what a buffet should offer, especially on busy nights like Friday and Saturday. The photo I attached shows an example: a “portion” of meat with only three slices, which is ridiculous for a table of eight people. How are we supposed to share that? On top of that, the dining time is limited to two hours. If you are running a buffet, you should be able to serve what customers order promptly. If customers waste food, then applying a penalty is fair — but deliberately under-serving portions makes the dining experience very frustrating.

Another point: the servers often placed dishes directly in front of guests’ hotpots instead of from the side, which felt careless and inconvenient.

Kpot has potential, but unless these issues with portion size, freshness, and service speed are fixed, it’s very hard to justify coming back.

Visiting Missouri and Kansas, KPOT popped up as a number 1 search result in a 30 mile radius. Previous reviews left stellar remarks. Working in Kansas City, we waited all week to celebrate our victorious work week. Well chosen beef, chicken, marinades, sauces, and soji made this meal triumphant! Too bad we fly out tomorrow, or we would have made this dinner nightly!!

KPOT offers the best of BOTH worlds with flavorful mini hotpots and sizzling Korean BBQ options, you can definitely do it with either, OR add $5 to do BOTH. The ingredients are fresh, and the broth and marinades are rich and authentic. The cozy atmosphere and attentive service make it a great spot for both solo meals and group gatherings.

Dinner is more expensive than lunch, but it has a lot more food options and it’s worth it for me to pay EXTRA. Anybody under 10 will be considered as kids, over 10 will be considered as adults. If tight on budget, consider leaving the kids at home with a sitter…it might still be CHEAPER that way.

Yes, we will be back soon! Make sure you come in with a BIG APPETITE as you can only eat so much in 2 HOURS…just saying

Everything was so delicious! Service was quick – we did Korean BBQ and the serving sizes were excellent. Large enough to be substantial but small enough that you could try several items. The sauce bar is extensive as well. Server Kalvin was so attentive and nice! Really fun date night – I would recommend any of the marinated meats. Beef bulgogi, smoked garlic pork belly, and short rib were our favorites.
