It’s very reminiscent of the Chuck E. Cheese that used to sit in this area building and it is very cool to look around and try to see what you used to remember of this new restaurant from the mice of old.
The service was very attuned and kind and helpful when needed, but it was nothing out of ordinary.
While I don’t really trust all you can eat buffets and I try to steer clear of them. It did look appetizing enough to indulge.
Food wise it is pretty mediocre.
Well, I will test. It is the best miso soup I ever had. Everything else was very minimum near taste look wise.
I wouldn’t say there’s anything wrong with it per se but it is nothing worth $89 which is how much me and my girlfriend paid.
Now hopefully the seafood and raw meat that we flash boiled in 1000° soups doesn’t give us food poisoning tomorrow. It should all work out and would be a fun place to go with a big group with splitting the ball, but I would definitely not recommend it for a party of 1 to 2 or even three who are either splitting or paying in full.
Well, it wasn’t nice. I don’t believe it was worth the price.
It also appeared that thier reservation app possibly wasn’t working right after I seen a few couple questions the lady’s taking reservations. Some walked out. We about did but then were called to be seated. We didn’t make reservations. We got there about 9:30 and assumed we would be waiting at least 10 minutes.
Once we got to.our table Darren took great care of us. In all our travels we have seldom had a sever as good as he was. If I was just rating his service it would be a 5 star. But others caused it to go down.
Food was brought out quickly. We worked our way through many of the many of the BBQ choices. The short ribs, hanger staeak, and garlic shrimp were our favorites.
Looking forward to going back and seeing improvements as most all restaurants do ove the course of the first month.
They use open-flame grills, which provide high heat—a bit trickier to manage than electric ones, but the extra power is definitely a plus.
The hotpot menu diversity is above average.
The meat quality for both BBQ and hotpot is solid and worth the price.
The staff is friendly, and the space is clean and bright.
Will definitely be back with friends!
To preface, the timer does NOT start when you sit down. It starts when you begin ordering. You’ll see a timer on your tablet. I got the bbq option only
The food was good, the atmosphere was good, service was not good but I’m going to assume it will be in time. It’s a new restaurant, and its a unique experience so I would imagine the staff is getting adjusted. It took us too long to get tended to by our server, but again, ill chalk that up to non-optimal systems. Our server was nice though, nothing negative to say about the attitude of the staff.
We did have this staff member who kept walking up to our table and switching our grill off. No clue who he was or why he was doing that. We just had to keep asking our server to turn it back on.
I had to order several things several times before they showed up. I’d order beef and shrimp, I’d get beef. I’d order shrimp and zucchini, no shrimp again. I just ordered shrimp the next time and finally got it. So anticipate having to spam orders, and it’s terrible because the server has nothing to do with the ordering system, so she couldn’t help even if she wanted to.
And probably my biggest gripe, there’s no attempt to reduce cross contamination. I get it, its k-bbq, but give me 2 pairs of tongs or something! I would rest my tongs in the steamer hoping the heat might kill off any bacteria, but lord knows how effective that is. I didn’t get sick, but I wish they would just offer a second pair of tongs: one for raw, one for cooked.
Food was very yummy, high quality from what I can tell. The spicy chicken stuff was more sweet and cinnamon than spicy, it was an off flavor but to each their own. I’ll be coming back in the future, I hope the kinks get sorted out in the meantime.
