This is one of the two Japanese places near my home, and it did not disappoint. I had a decent meal; I got the shrimp and steak combination. It came with fried rice and sweet carrots. The portion size was fine. However, the other Japanese joint down the road gives me a bit bigger portion sizes, and I can usually squeeze two meals from one dinner combination.
The inside is actually quite nice, with some seating and dated décor. I got my meal to go, and it was piping hot when I got there, and wrapped up nicely in a plastic bag. I was provided soy and duck sauce, even though I did not ask for it, as well as some napkins and a plastic fork.
The gentleman behind the counter was pleasant and ensured that I got the correct order by going over my name, number, and order.
I tried one of the house specials when I got my takeout; I got cheese steak spring rolls. I thought they were decent, I think they could have been filled a bit more, but the flavor was good, there was just not much in the roll itself, I can say this as one was pictured, but I got two, as I wanted to give it a real good try and see what they were all about. Like I said, the flavor was good, just a little underfilled for my taste.

This place has potential. However the male who takes your order did not acknowledge my and I. We had to repeat the order several times. He was too busy on his phone. This person needs to be written up or fired. They were not busy at all.
The male who brought our food to us was awesome and made sure we had everything we needed. The food cost too much and the bad customer service just compounds the experience. Wont be back. Avoid until the customer service is improved at minimum.

I order Kotta cheese steak spring roll. This is a warning the rolls was mainly onion with three specs of steak. I brought it to the guys attention and all he said is there is steak. The other food was good. But I don’t think I will be visiting this place again. Not worth the price

The staff is welcoming and the food was fresh and delicious! I got the teriyaki chicken with mixed veggies and noodles. I could eat those noodles by the gallon smh. This was especially nice considering the time of day and busy area.

just happened to stumble upon this hidden gem and I’m oh so happy I did! my food was delicious and there was plenty leftover and I have a hearty appetite! will be frequenting this location on the regular oh, and if you’re looking for a great place outside picnic take your meal and a blanket to Reynolda Gardens located north Reynolda Rd only a few miles from Kotta. Pics were taken there.

Meat Portions are ridiculous depending on who’s cooking! This is the second time I got steak and shrimp and received 6 small pieces of steak and then was told oh it’s bc they shrink by the young guy at the front! This is crazy for paying almost 20$ for the plate!

Ordered the teriyaki chicken box and some spring rolls, the food was very good. The spring rolls have an almost floral flavor? It’s hard to describe, very different but also delicious. If you don’t mind splurging and trying something, I’d give this place a try.
But order was teriyaki chicken (4 medium pieces), mixed veggies and rice. Enjoyed it very much and we were greeted and taken care of promptly. So no complaints on my end!

I visited after lunch, around 2pm, dined in. Plastic fork and plate cheapened the experience. Chicken and veggies cooked ok, but the rice was a bit old and dried out, probably left over from the lunch rush.
There are other places offering similar fare at a similar price point that I will likely choose next time.

This is my first time visiting this location & it did not disappoint! The food is piping hot & flavorful (ordered the shrimp kabob) but what I love most is the friendly cashier (maybe owner). I was sitting waiting for my food & this gentleman took the time to wrap up my order in a bag & deliver it to me personally. He’s super friendly & that coupled with the quality food ensures I’ll be a future patron.
