Mindy was our waitress and she was excellent. She was very polite and on time.
Food was great considering the price point. Almost had a Korean style bbq glaze to the meat and seafood.
The sushi bar was phenomenal. Excellent selection of fried rolls/traditional rolls.

Hello, I came to your restaurant today, Sunday February 22nd 2026, for the first time. Needless to say I won’t come back. I ordered the steak and chicken combination plate. Everything on my plate tasted like shrimp. The entire plate, rice, steak, chicken, everything tasted like it was cooked mixed in with shrimp. The chicken was dry anyway. There were very few vegetables mixed in and it looked like it was all stired together in one pile. Needless to say the best thing I ate was the salad. What few bites I took of my food had to be covered on soy sauce to keep from tasting the shrimp taste. The young lady at the the register ask, “how was everything”, so I told her what im tell you and it never bothered her, she ignored me like I had just said , oh it was great, far from it. I hope you improve, but that was my first and last time. To me, it was money wasted.

The service sucks. Don’t expect refills from your server. Once they slap that check on the table, their gone. Had to get my own togo box. I asked for lemon in my water. Terrible listening skills from the wait staff.
HOWEVER, Food is amazing! Atmosphere is tolerable and nice.
Very reasonably priced! I would only come back for the food.

First time ever visiting this restaurant and will never go back!
The menu doesn’t say steak it says filet. I couldn’t eat the so called filet steak because it was so chewy. When telling the waitress she told me that it can be like that and maybe I should try the shrimp. She didn’t ask my husband how his food was but could see that he was picking at his food and didn’t finish eating his food. This waitress had brought me water when I had said that I wanted sweet tea when first ordering our food.
When checking out the cashier asked how everything was? Said he could give 10% off bill
You could plainly see my food on my plate and soup untouched and you’re only going to give 10% off. I should have demanded to see the manager but we paid our $26 for the worst food we have ever had in North Wilkesboro

Have always loved the food. Great portions and prices are very reasonable. When server brought our food, I asked for extra napkins. Never saw her again until we were leaving. My husband had to get up and get takeout boxes for leftovers. Needless to say, she didn’t get a tip and we are always 20% or better tippers.

Food was delicious! However, the service was terrible! It took 45 minutes to get our food. A family behind us asked for food to be boxed to go because they had waited so long. After that, the wait staff walked around ranting about them. Very immature and unprofessional. More interested in phones and gab than serving.

The best part was our nice waitress. The food was not good. When going to pay the young girl was rude. She wouldn’t let me speak when trying to tell her who had what on the ticket and how to split it up. Will definitely not be going back here.

Koto’s Japanese Restaurant is a family-owned gem with a warm, welcoming atmosphere! It’s no surprise their clientele is growing fast. Great spot for delicious meals and good vibes. Highly recommend checking it out!

I was really disappointed with this sushi restaurant. The presentation of the sushi was terrible, and the food itself was pretty mediocre overall. The service was decent, but it wasn’t enough to make up for the lackluster meal. For a place claiming to be a Japanese restaurant, it definitely didn’t live up to expectations— they didn’t even offer miso soup. I wouldn’t consider it a spot worth returning to.
