We were so excited to discover this restaurant in Ocala! The owner previously owned one of our absolute favorite sushi spots in Sarasota, so we had high expectations and it did not disappoint. The sushi is incredibly fresh and delicious, and everything we’ve tried has been excellent.
We love the setup because it’s quick and convenient, you order at the counter and they bring it right to you. It’s perfect when you want great food without having to sit and wait at a table. That said, the atmosphere is beautiful great décor, lovely ambiance, and very thoughtfully done.
This place has become a go-to for us during our children’s swim meets. We get our sushi fix, and the kids love the hibachi options with great protein choices. It’s a win for everyone.
The staff is beyond friendly everyone is kind, welcoming, and makes you feel like family the moment you walk in. We’re so happy to support this restaurant and highly recommend it to anyone looking for amazing sushi, hibachi, and a wonderful overall experience.

Uh OH! I found my new favorite place for lunch! Came from my office and went to lunch by myself today! It was hot, fresh, quick and delicious!!! I wish I had brought some co-workers! They have a very affordable lunch menu for the hibachi! Order at the counter for dine in or take out. The dining in option was perfect for me! Comfortable, nice atmosphere and clean. Need extra sauce, just ask! I had the Steak Lunch Hibachi and it came with fried rice, perfectly cooked vegetables (onion, broccoli and zucchini with mushrooms) and it came with a Ginger Salad starter while I waited for my beeper to let me know my meal was ready! I wonder if they offer Door Dash?? It would be a thing!!!

The food was great, the prices were really good especially for a family of 4 eating sushi, under $100. This will be our new sushi go to spot. No gluten free soy sauce for the kids allergies but they mentioned they are planning to have it next time. Great service and people were great!

We came here to have hibachi for a celebration of graduations. Our group includes 3 young kids and 8 adults. We were able to be seated immediately. This restaurant requires you to order first, and you’re assigned a buzzer. You go and pick up your food and bring it to your table. They’re pretty hands off in the restaurant. It’s very much like a Chipotle or Panera Bread, but for Japanese food. They aren’t very flexible with requests and cannot give you a lot of detailed help with decision-making on what to eat. So know before you go! There is no kids menu here.

I didn’t know what to order but so thankful for the staff to give recommendations. We ordered the snow mountain and dynamite rolls. Both are very good and fresh! We really enjoyed this. The gyoza had a great flavor just wasn’t as fried as we expected. It was a little soggy. Only reason for not having 5 stars.
The hibachi rice and vegetables were spot on. Definitely so good and can’t wait to come back and visit this place again!
I even brought some back to my family a few towns away and they can’t wait to come over here!

Driving from Florida, back home to Michigan. Stopped in to Koto. Located in Gainesville, very cool concept. Great vibe! The food was fresh made to order. Love the flavor, fresh ingredients! My Wife and I both had the Hibachi Lunch specials. I had steak my wife shrimp. Both were great made the drive more tolerable!

Pleasant atmosphere is always a plus. Cashier showed zero emotion. However, it was nice enough. The lunch hibachi was a great portion and was pretty tasty. Vegetables are a little too firm for my taste but good. One thing I think is good to know you can get Gluten-free soy sause, just ask at the counter. The sushi lunch special is also really tasty and a good portion. I would stop in again.

We were looking for something different for lunch and what a pleasant surprise this place was. We decided pretty quickly for having not been there before, and it didn’t take long for the food to come out. The appetizers and meals were both big and plentiful… we were able to take the leftovers home and we had a second meal. I highly recommend this for a try!

Placed a to-go ordered for six items on the way to work. One of the items was missing and I didn’t notice until I unpacked the order at work. While I realize that some of the responsibility is on me for not checking before I left the restaurant, the response to the problem was less than ideal. I called as soon as I realized part of the order was missing and asked for a refund of the missing item. I was told that he (the person who answered the phone) could not refund the item because he can’t refund part of a bill. What??? I was given no other recourse to solve the issue, as I couldn’t return because I was at work. Anyway, the food was okay. I got the hibachi with the steak and the steak was clearly low quality. I will not return. The quality of hibachi at Hana Sushi far exceeds what I got here.
