I have been to Koto many times, and each time is always a new experience. The Hibachi is top notch. It is a great show with lots of flavor and, depending on your party, lots of laughs. They do make you wait until the table is full and will sit you next to new people before assigning you a chef but I don’t think that’s a problem. The food is always cooked exactly like you want, I have never had bad food here. The drinks were are well balanced as they do have a large bar. The servers are attentive and make the experience go very smooth. If you’re in the area, check it out.

I’m happy I gave this place a try. I would always pass by and say I should stop in and check out their menu. The food was fresh and very filling. The broth on the mushroom soup was quite tasty. My daughter said the short ribs and dumplings were very good! Service was prompt . Overall great experience. I’ll be back for sure!

This was our first time here and we were pleasantly surprised. Staff was friendly from the moment we entered and the restaurant was very clean. We were told it would be about a 15 to 20 minute wait for hibachi. We sat at the bar, got our drinks and were seated within 10 minutes. Waiter was very efficient and chef was friendly and entertaining. The food was delicious. The hibachi ribeye was cooked to perfection. Definitely get the fried rice. The only thing was the noodles were spaghetti… it was still very good but not udon noodles. They also have a very large sushi menu and will definitely be back to try that as well.

We planned on going to Benihanas, but this was closer, so we decided to give it a try. We arrived around 6:00 and it was very packed. The hostess was courteous and told us their was a 20-minute wait time for the hibachi. We decided to wait, and we were seated within that time frame. I ordered the hibachi chicken and shrimp combo. It came with soup and salad. The soup was not very flavourful, just mostly broth, and the salad had a sweet and tangy dressing on top of the lettuce. The hibachi chef did his tricks with the utensils and food, which was somewhat entertaining. The chicken, shrimp, and vegetables had a one-dimensional taste, which was mostly soy sauce. A generous portion did help to curb my appetite. The one-dimensional favor profile made the meal just okay. The interior design was very eye-catching. If you’re a great home cook, you could probably make this at home for cheaper unless you’re looking for the experience of a hibachi atmosphere and restaurant.

One of the finest hibachi places in Central NJ. Tried quite a few around the area but this one is truly a gem. First of all the place is super clean and well maintained. The staff is well mannered and greets the guests very nicely. We had to wait a bit for our hibachi chef to arrive but once he came , it was all worth the wait. He was skillful at his tricks and also a good cook. We ordered steak , filet mignon, red snapper, chicken in hibachi combination. The meat and sea food was super fresh.

I’m a vegan(don’t eat ANY animal products)and told the order taker 3 times. Also told the chef, too, but still put butter in my rice. It took 3-4 times to finally get it correct!! At least they tried All chefs and cooks should be educated on the different diets!! Treat it like allergies to food, and cook it first so there’s no cross contamination. Then, proceed to cook the meat, then seafood. Everyone can eat and no one is getting sick!!

The food is good but I think it can be a little tastier with the fried rice and the noodles. The Meats taste pretty good. My only other complaint is that the food is very pricey. Other Hibachi restaurants don’t charge as much. It is worth visiting and it is kid friendly. It’s pretty cozy.

We ordered dumplings and a spicy tuna roll for appetizers. For lunch we ordered both the steak and a Filet bento box. And the recommended Sapporo beer. About halfway through we realized the tuna roll hadn’t come out. Once we informed our server it was brought over right away. The food was delicious and filling. Resulting in to-go boxes.
