On a Tuesday evening we ventured out for bulgogi, Korean beef. Local venue, Koreana, located behind Raising Cane of Victory Blvd in York County/Kiln Creek is a new iteration of the previous hibachi eatery, Misagi, with the same owners and a new enthusiastic manager, Aaron.

This is a specious dining area and full service bar with cook at your table barbeque. The all you can eat menu is under $30 with so many meat options all prepared front and center and served right off the coals! The side dishes, seasonings, sauces, appetizers all served with wonderful taste blends and portions. We tried beef bulgogi, chicken bulgogi, pork belly, spicy beef bulgogi, seafood pancake, and brisket. The side dumplings were really tasty! Kimchi, pickled radish, ginger, zucchini and green onion salad were all superior!

The manager and owners are onsite, attentive front and center. Aaron is planning happy hour, trivia and karaoke nights. Groups could have a wonderful time gathered around the on table grill trying all kinds of authentic Korean offerings. Couples can enjoy a different kind of dining experience for a special meal or just dining out.

Really if you live in the area, and you like new dining experiences, locally owned and operated and great food, put Koreana on your list!

Went on a Sunday after church, and the day after Valentine’s Day. We had the place to ourselves and hoped it was going to be good. It was GREAT!!! So many great banchan before the meal, and you also get other appetizers too. The star of the show was the Marinated Beef Rib Finger. Never had that before and it was incredible. Had two servings. Please go to this establishment so it stays in business!

I’ve been wanting to try this place and I was in the area. I called first to see if they were opened (bc of the recent winter storm) and if so, place my to-go order. The guy in the phone (who I think is one of the owners – poss husband and wife?) said it’ll be ready in 15-20 mins. I get there and he said it would be a few more minutes. The food was absolute delicious. My daughter devoured the edamame. Then bento box lunch special had SO much food. It was all flavorful and delicious. The employees/owners are so ridiculously sweet. They also have all you can eat, which I want to try one day. Def want to return!

This place was absolutely amazing! The banchan were plentiful and delicious, and the meats were seasoned beautifully. Do yourself a favor and do the all-you-can-eat deal, you get a good bang for your buck and go home feeling absolutely stuffed and satisfied.

There’s something so cozy about gathering around a grill with loved ones, cooking up your favorite foods and sharing dishes and laughter.

The waitress was new and very accomodating and kind. A man who was I assume the owner, frequently came to our table with complimentary meats like steak and wagyu, and he was so kind and attentive.

This is a place I’ll highly recommend to anyone who enjoys Korean BBQ, and I kick myself for not having tried this place sooner!

We did the all you can eat bbq. Meat quality and flavor are very good. It’s grilled on charcoal instead of gas which is a lot more authentic. Our server is very attentive as well. It’s an overall excellent experience.

Great food. Authentic. I definitely eat more than I normally do when I come here. I order Bulgolgi and the kitchen jigae. Both are amazing. The 4 star on the atmosphere is only because the resteraunt can use some more ventilation. Can’t wait to go again.

The food is amazing and the price is right! My husband is a big fan of Korean food. We have tried all of the ones between here and Virginia Beach. This is by far the best, and most authentic food! It appears to be owned by an older Korean couple that know their way around the kitchen. They only lost a star because I don’t think the ventilation works well or something. There is a hint of char in the air, even with the grills off. Worth it though! We will continue to drive the 40 minutes it takes to get there because it’s just that good.

A true hidden Gem!
Service and food are genuine and excellent.
No fillers or flavor enhancers.
Just real ingredients cooked on the spot.
Be warned that the time wait for your order may be longer compared to other places but that is because it is made fresh.
Bring a group and get one of the hibachi style tables. All you can eat greatness.

Gave this restaurant a try but overall was not pleased. The new waiter was very nice and helpful but our drinks had stuff floating in it. Told server and got new drinks only to see stuff floating in those glasses as well, so I suspect the soda/water fountains need to be cleaned. Rather than reporting back that glasses and drinks were gross again, we just opted not to drink anything else. Food didn’t taste great either and I couldn’t enjoy it after the nasty drinks/glasses and seeing that the restaurant needed a good cleaning.

Very good Kroean barbecue- I would say the best of both the penisula and Virginia Beach/Norfolk. Lots of banchan with additional appetizers and soup – would definitely recommend the corn cheese and seafood pancake. Cuts were good quality and they had some other cuts not available at other places. The owners were very nice and helped us cook our food when we were there for lunch. Highly recommend!
