Food was good, service was ok. We went for dinner on a Saturday night and the place was not pack only our table and another table. It must be why because their price is a little bit high. Probably because inflation. Our party consisting of three adults and three kids, yet the surprise was they added a 20% gratuity to the receipt automatically. The surprise gratuity service fee it’s kind of discouraging. This is probably why the place was pretty empty.

I’ve been coming here for like a dozen years or so. Some of the more authentic Korean I’ve had in the Bay. (I lived in Korea for a few years)

Service can be a little slow. It can be a little pricy compared to less authentic spots. But in going to keep coming back

We had a fantastic dinner at this Korean spot in San Jose. The beef bulgogi and tofu soup were both flavorful and satisfying without being overly salty. Everything tasted fresh and well-prepared.

What really stood out was how accommodating the kitchen was with dietary needs. My girlfriend has a crustacean allergy, and because they make everything from scratch, they were able to leave out the shrimp in the pancakes. That kind of flexibility is rare and genuinely appreciated.

The variety of side dishes was great. We enjoyed kimchi, seaweed salad, seasoned spinach, fish cake, and bean sprouts, all of which paired perfectly with the mains. The japchae was also a hit, and the dipping sauces tied everything together.

I had a chance to chat with the owner, who told me they’ve been serving the community for over 45 years. You can feel that experience in the food and the atmosphere. The staff was friendly and made us feel welcome from the start.

Very traditional Korean food. The wait is longer than expected due to lack of staffs.

Located in a run down area, but worth the quick drive from Valley Fair Mall, and once inside, a feast awaits you. Large booths, private party room. This restaurant has been around for a long time with a palace feel. Bulgogi, is sweet, tender and addictive with very little to nonexistent gristle. A good deal on lunch. Quality food and freshly made typical Korean dishes. Overseen by the owners who are usually there, and same waiters and waitresses who do not seem to age even as children age over 10 years. The cooks are Korean ladies, the food shows so much attention to detail that adds more taste to each dish and the kimchee is the best.

Good food, but rude and racist waitress.

My wife and I came to Korean Palace for dinner at 8:00pm. After ordering our meals, we were served banchan as we waited. The banchan were good, but we made the mistake of putting the plates on top of each other which seemed to anger the waitress. Instead of explaining why this upset her, she told us she would no longer serve us anymore banchan. She then said we must be Chinese or something, making the situation confusingly racist as neither my wife and I are Chinese.

The food took over 30 minutes to come out, so we didn’t get the food until around 8:45pm. We were then not given enough time to eat and promptly kicked out of the restaurant at 9:00pm with a “bye bye.”

This was an unfortunate experience because we actually enjoyed the food, but the waitress’s behavior ruined the experience.

All I can really say is wow. We stopped by while on a business trip just on a whim. We were pleasantly surprised since we went at 7 pm and the dining room was completely empty. However, their food was amazing! Maybe some clarification on their menus when trying to specify items between lunch and dinner options. But their food was great, service was lacking since they were all sitting and talking/headphones in/watching videos on phone.

Seafood Soon Tofu was quite spicy but delicious. Recommended to go for lower spice level if you don’t have high spice tolerance. Large side dish portions. Service was not very fast but the server was very meticulous and accommodating in explaining ingredients in food according to a friend’s dietary restrictions. Overall would recommend this place.

We ordered beef fried rice, soft tofu soup (shrimp) and BBQ pork spicy. We liked the food. Fried rice was not salty. BBQ pork was not too spicy, I wish it was and the soup was delicious. Good service as well. I’m not giving 5 stars maybe because I find their servings small for the price. Per person I spent $30-$50.
