Korals impressed us so much we went twice during our stay. Night one was flawless, fantastic food and excellent service. Night two, the food stayed top-tier, but the service slipped a bit.
The Dragon Roll was the standout and an absolute must-order, and the eel and tuna Unagi were also incredible. The tuna quality was elite!! Good drinks, great ambience, especially by the fish tank. Despite a small service hiccup, Korals is still a strong recommendation.

A very disappointing experience for such a high scale restaurant. Most of the food was okay, but definitely not worth the high end price. The service was abysmal and slow. I do not recommend the torched sushi rolls. They ended up having a funny aftertaste and I couldn’t even finish mine. The dim sum, seaweed salad, cucumber salad, and shrimp tempura rolls were fine. Probably will not go back again.

If you’re staying at the JW Marriott Marco Island (or even if you’re not), definitely make time for a meal at Koral. The food here is seriously good — fresh, well-prepared, and packed with flavor.
We started with the ceviche, which was super bright and refreshing, and then moved on to the local grouper — cooked perfectly and so flaky it almost melted. The sides were just as good — everything tasted really fresh, not overcomplicated. Even the bread they bring out is next-level. For dessert, we had something chocolatey (wish I remembered the name!) that was totally worth every bite.
The vibe is upscale but still relaxed — you don’t feel like you have to be super formal. Service was great too — friendly and quick without feeling rushed.
If you’re into seafood or just want a really good meal with island vibes, Koral is 100% worth checking out.

The restaurant is right inside the JW. Not a huge menu but very delicious. The Tuna Sushi Sushimi what Fantastic. 3 large slices. Incredible!!!!

We came to the restaurant around 4pm. It was empty and we went to the bar to get drinks.
I had never tried an espresso martini. This was my first one, so I may not be the best judge- but for me, it was SO GOOD! I LOVED it! If you’re a martini aficionado, then you may have a different opinion. My friend also ordered one and loved it. Another friend ordered a rum and coke. The coke was flat, but they went and changed the filter and gave her a new one.
We sat by the restaurant window- we had our choice of seats. We enjoyed the view and our drinks. The restaurant is very nicely decorated. Very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. We were able to charge the drinks to our room.
I’d love to return here for dinner sometime so I can give a more accurate review.

Not sure why there are several negative reviews. We enjoyed eating at Korals twice during our stay at the JW. Smaller menu but everything was delicious and fresh! Would definitely recommend.

This place is great! We had dinner here tonight and it was fantastic. Our sushi tasted very good and fresh (i’ll add pictures) and although the selection isn’t huge, it is good enough for a bar. There was enough for us to choose from as a family of 4 and we all enjoyed everything. I recommend the Miso Soup, we all got one of those and it was very good. We eat a lot of sushi and know what’s good and bad, and this place was definitely a good one. This place deserves at least 4 stars, we were a little skeptical when we saw it only had 3 but everything was great. Fairly reasonable priced, it is a resort after all. Would recommend!!
