I didn’t want to eat another poke so after a long day walking at the Japanese Garden I looked on Google and found this restaurant. This place is just minutes from the garden and cemetery. When we got there was empty so I was a little worried but I am glad we stopped by cause MAN… it was delicious and the service was also great. Just before we were leaving more people started to come, I was happy to see the place full cause they deserved it. If you looking for a reasonably priced Hawaiian food restaurant, this is your place. I ordered the teriyaki chicken and hubby the shrimp with kalbi and they both were amazing, 10/10.

Recently renovated local-style plate lunch restaurant. Had the Kalua Pork with Cabbage here, was pretty good (Not too salty, and the cabbage still had a bit of crunch to it).
Also, I don’t see it on the menu, but they make Spam Musubi, too.

Had to leave a review!! My food was reallly good. I want to try more food from this place. I am not a local i am visiting my sister who is, but I really wanted to experience the local experience and try all the local food. This place had all local customers when i was there. I saw no tourists during my visit. This place has really good food I’m telling you!! Hope i get to try it again before I head back to mainland.

Love this place. I’m so happy they reopened. My fav is the lemon chicken-all rice with a fruit punch. Service is usually always fast within reason. Posting pics of menu, there was people standing in line so I didn’t get close to the last sign.

the first time I went there, which was pre-car crash and pre-pandemic (a while ago), it was alright. I don’t remember what I got but I just remember feeling and thinking, “not great but not terrible.”
this time, I got won ton ramen combo. it was comparable to sumo ramen. quality and taste and everything. about $11. I couldn’t drink the soup; it gave me a headache just from eating everything in the soup. the fried rice and gyoza were good.
I’ll keep trying other things on the menu.

I will say the food isn’t 5 star food by any means, but I always finish my meal satisfied, and I’ve never said, “I’ll never eat that again.” The portions are great and the staff is always friendly there. I will always support this business when I can!
