It was a cold night, so we did take out and ate at home. We had the fish and chips and two scallop platters. The scallops were amazingly done, with just the right spices.. It must be difficult to get the freshest part of the catch off the top of the pile, and Kool Kone must have some pull in this area. The fish also was extraordinarily fresh, moist and flaky. The service was friendly and quick.

made the little ride over here after a walk along the canal a couple weeks ago. Phantom recommended and googled best onion rings in the area. Kool Kone did not disappoint. cheeseburger with mozzarella sticks, chicken finger plate, whole clams and fried fish plate as well as, of course, a side of onion rings. the food couldn’t have been better. I mean the onion rings were perfect, the chicken plate had lots of tender chicken the clams and fish were fresh. all for 50 bucks. it was fairly busy at the time too and we didn’t have to wait very long for the food. highly, highly recommend!!

7/23 Kool-Kone off Route 6 in Weweantic, Ma. Disappointing. This is not the same place I visited in the past. The shrimp, scallops and fried clams were just better than average. The fish was less than average, some under cooked and other pieces over cooked. Some had uncooked batter inside, clumpy and wet. Onion rings and coleslaw were just okay. Nothing was what we had in the past. The food was highly overpriced and at the counter we had to ask for adequate additional supply of plates, napkins, forks and ice for the drinks. The tables outside were cleaned and the restrooms were also.

Excellent fried seafood is part of a large varied menu. The seating area has a seaside vacation vibe. Prices are very reasonable for the large portions they serve. My favorite place for fried clams. Cleanest fried food around.
