Love Kooky’s unpretentious sports bar atmosphere with big food and big drinks. Large comfortable bar along with booths and tables. Prices have definitely increased a lot, but I appreciate how active the owner is in the community and in running his business. They do run some drink deals regularly. Longtime bartenders and servers are always great, including Sybil on this latest visit during brunch. Menu highlights include Canadian-inspired dishes, bbq egg rolls, holy smoke sauce (maybe the hottest sauce in town), and their delightful dill ranch.

Having stopped by Kooky Canuk for my first time, it is definitely a place I would return to. Generous portion sizes, a good atmosphere, and a great cookie dessert I would definitely recommend it for somebody else looking for a downtown restaurant. A good family restaurant, it is definitely an order where you could get good bang for your buck.

OMG, this place is awesome. We happen to get stuck in downtown for a week or so during the snow storm of January 26. Kooky was one of the only places to stay open, and they actually shoveled in front of the store, I seen zero others doing this. So after trying the first day, we went no where else pretty much all week. All the employees who could make it in, were being worked/ ran like crazy because they were so busy. Yet they all kept a smile on their face, and did their best to service everyone who came in. We can’t thank the staff enough for all their hospitality. From the owner Shawn to Mike, and April at the bar, (I know we missed some names) we can’t express enough how great everyone was. Every establishment could take notes and learn from Kooky. They definitely made customers for life out of us. The family and I will be back every time we’re in the downtown area.

My food was phenomenal. I had a chopped cheese sandwich. The bread was flaky and soft and held all the ingredients very well. The meat was very seasoned. I enjoy my meal and can’t wait to come back. My server recommended something so tasty and was so pleasant.

Really great experience here before Grizzlies game. The food, service, and atmosphere were all excellent! The giant cocktails (or beers) (pictured: paloma) are a great perk!! The food was amazing as well (pictured: fire burger w/sauce on side because yes, that’s the hottest sauce I’ve ever tasted served in a restaurant and I love spice!) Overall great experience and we will be back!

Great place to eat and drink! Massive beers and interesting burger selections. Had the maple bacon burger with the hot sauce. On point especially with the hot sauce. Not for the weak.

It’s pretty ok. Food was fine. Service was fine. Overall it was just ok food and the portions were obese levels. I won’t be back as it was nothing special and kinda $$$$.

The service was amazing and the atmosphere was everything! The regular menu food was good but there new brunch menu was lacking. The breakfast potatoes were very bland and some of them were too hard. The brioche French toast was delicious to my son but to me, i didn’t like the egg on the outside. The biscuits were very dry, definitely not grandma approved. I know that they are trying something new so i won’t knock them for that. The steak and poached eggs however were amazing!

Outstanding! Great place to eat when in Memphis, especially now that the national guard is patrolling beale street. You better bring an appetite though because the king kookumonga is huge! Only thing I would recommend though is that if you’re going to order one of the challenge burgers you should call the previous day to make sure they have the buns. They have to order the buns fresh from a bakery down the street.

The bottle Modelo beer had a skunky taste meaning it was close to or past its expiration date. I ordered fish and chips and they didn’t have malt vinegar. Otherwise the food was excellent. The Mac and cheese was superb. The chicken wings was tasty and perfectly season. The cheese bites and sauce was magically delicious according to my granddaughter.
