This was my first time here. As a kid from Georgia, it takes a lot to impress me with soul food, and I was indeed. From the menu options, serving portions & the customer service, all was stellar. I ordered the meatloaf, mac-n-cheese & dressing with gravy. It was all delicious. I will definitely be back. Whether you are local or visiting, give them a a try.

This spot is officially my Orlando hidden gem restaurant. Today was my first time in here and now I’m mad I’ve been missing out on this place for the last 5 years since they’ve been open. The food is very well seasoned and delicious. I had the meat loaf with 2 sides (Mac & cheese, greens). My girlfriend had the baked chicken with Mac & cheese and cabbage. The servings are seriously larger than anywhere I’ve ever been AND for such a good price. Each of our orders were big enough for two people each. They’ve obviously got something great Goin on here. That line into the store never stopped. I just wish they were in a larger space so they’d have some more seating available, but in time I can see them becoming much bigger. Maybe even have a few cots in the back for nap time after we eat lol. We’ll definitely be coming back.

I had the meatloaf, mac and cheese, yellow rice, and cornbread—and every bite was fantastic. Being raised in Georgia, I know what real Southern food is supposed to taste like, and finding it is rare these days. Kook’n with Kim absolutely nailed it. The meatloaf was tender and flavorful, the mac and cheese was creamy and rich, and the cornbread had that perfect balance of sweet and savory. The portions were huge—definitely come hungry.
Only thing I’d change? They need some AC in there. The line was out the door and the inside was burning up. The food is fire, but let’s get the staff some air!
And here’s what really stuck with me—I was stopped at a red light on my way to work this morning and saw the same gentleman who was behind the counter yesterday handing out food to the homeless from his truck. That told me everything I needed to know about the kind of people running this place. Good food made by genuinely good folks. This spot is more than worth your support. A must-try.

If I could give more than five stars, I would. This was hands-down one of the best soul food experiences I’ve had in a long time. The food was absolutely magnificent… the kind of meal that instantly takes you back to grandma’s kitchen on a Sunday. Every bite was seasoned with love, care, and tradition.
What truly made this experience unforgettable was the hospitality. The owner, Ms. Kim, personally came out, introduced herself, and gave my mom and me a hug. That alone tells you everything you need to know about this place… it’s not just food, it’s family.
I live in Miami and was only passing through the area when we stopped in, but after tasting this food, I already know I’ll be back. No hesitation. This place is special, and the love poured into the cooking shows.
Amazing food, beautiful atmosphere, and genuine soul. I will absolutely be returning.

This is a small soul food restaurant that I believe is for to go usually. The food is delicious, nicely priced, with large portions cooked with love. I will visit every time I’m near Orlando! It was so good, I went back the next day to buy more food to take home. The 1st two pics are of the smothered pork chop dinner! The 3rd pic is a kid’s meal! On Wednesday’s and Saturdays, they have hog maws. IYKYK

When I say I want soul food this is what I mean! Go for carry out because seating is limited to 2 tables. It’s a no fuss no muss kind of place. Get your food and go pig out in the comfort of your home.
It tastes like home cooking! I do like that it’s a hot food bar and you can get your food quickly as long as it’s not a line that goes out the door which happened right after I got my food before the line formed. However they still were in and out fast.
Everything tasted delicious! I’ll be eating on this dinner plate for 3-5 days!

This is a definite ✋️ and try. The food was amazing, packed with flavor and just a packed plate in general. Mrs. Kim was front and center and was not scared to remind her staff that the customers are coming to be fed so act like they know and plate the orders right!! It’s a small place so you can stand inside and eat or outside there’s only one table though. Parking is on the street and around the restaurant. Short hours so get there early and come hungry most importantly!!
