This place delivered one of the most pleasant dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. The staff is genuinely friendly, welcoming, and well organized, and you can really feel how much care goes into both the service and the food. We had the chance to try many dishes—every single one was delicious, balanced, and full of surprising flavors.
The chefs clearly know exactly what they’re doing, with some truly standout plates (the Konchu Fried Chicken alone is reason enough to come back). The cocktails, wines, and sakes were also excellent and perfectly paired with the food.
The ambiance is cozy and intimate, making the whole experience even more special. Even on a second visit, the restaurant continues to impress and surprise. This is the kind of place you return to—not just for a meal, but for the emotion and memories it creates. Highly recommended, and definitely a spot we’ll keep coming back to.

Since we were a large group we got to try out everything and all the dishes we ordered were delicious! Definitely coming back. The staff was really friendly and well organized, they’d called us beforehand to discuss the options for the menu so that they could prepare ahead of time. This made it easy to order. The cocktails, wines and sakes were really good as well!

Had some lunch here, food is lacking balance and flavour, everything overall didn’t impress and was a bit off/unbalanced. Just an ok option for not so quick lunch because the waiting time was a bit long. Service was nice and welcoming.

Went for a second time and this place keeps to amaze! Super friendly service and always surprising flavors in the dishes! Absolutely take the Konchu Fried Chicken – this dish alone will want to keep you come back for more!

Konchu is a fantastic spot in Brussels for those who love the food sharing concept. It makes the dining experience even more convivial, and the restaurant’s cosy atmosphere and beautiful décor add to its charm.
The waiters were absolutely adorable and incredibly friendly, making us feel very welcome. We shared several dishes, and every single one was delicious—crafted with love and great attention to detail.
Their selection of wine selection is amazing and tasty as well!
The menu offers a limited selection, which suggests that everything is made fresh. A wonderful place that I would definitely return to!

Very great discovery! I ate at the bar alone and felt very welcome with their friendly staff. I ate the beef tartare and tempura cauliflower with a sake. Everything was tasteful.

We had high expectations given the amazing reviews but sadly the four of us agreed it was a bit underwhelming. While the service was friendly & the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the food was just okay. We tried all the dishes from their new menu, except for the tartar, and we were expecting more flavour. The prices were also too high for the size of the dishes.

Great service and great cook.
One remark would be about the air circulation system: a bit unorthodox in my opinion. Leaving the door open with a thick curtain on front? No thank you.
Didn’t mind the smoke coming out of the kitchen, hands down it gave an atmospheric mood and warmth to the dining space, but the smell was a bit unpleasant.
Also, you should also give more attention to the entrance. What is the purpose of covering the Art Nouveau door with a thick curtain?
From what I understand Konchu’s philosophy is to blend Belgian identity with Japanese cuisine. You should communicate this “fusion” more clearly to the physical space, not covering.
